Briggs who became husband and wife at a Salt Lake temple ceremony performed Friday morning by Elder Harold B. Lee, of the Council of the Twelve. ; " Witnessing the ceremony were Mrs. L. Stanford Briggs, mother of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. N. R, Johnson, Mrs. Ha ult, uncle and aunts of the groom; Mrs. Fred Woolston, aunt of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Chlpman, and Bishop Fred Bowen. On leaving the temple they were Joined by the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold W. Wools- ton, the groom's r father, and Robert Johnson for a wedding breakfast at the Doll House hosted by the groom's parents. ' Friday evening Flrmage Hall was the setting for a reception, which claimed the bride's par- ents as hosts. A yellow, gold and white theme was carried out in the, decorations throughout the building with marigolds, asters, zinnias and gilded wheat accented with Ivy. The serving table in the dining hall, covered with nylon net with ' bows of gold and bronze, held the tiered wedding cake which was topped with a vase of roses and encircled en-circled by begonias. ' The lovely bride, the former Mary Woolston, greeted her friends In an exquisite model of embroidered tulle over skinners satin, styled with cap sleeves, fitted bodice with a V-neckline and bouffant skirt entrain. Her veil of illusion was caught to a halo of tuye embroidered with pearls. Her only ornament was a necklace of pearls, a gift of the groom. Embroidered tulle gauntlets completed the bridal ensemble. Mrs. 8tanley Walker, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Claudia Woolston, another sister, Joyce Bullock, Sharon Faye Johnson, Mareen Holdaway and Jane Iver-son. Iver-son. Mothers of the couple were attired in apple green lace over taffeta and pinned corsages of white mums to their gowns. Three grandparents of the couple, cou-ple, Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Hall, Pocatello, . Ida., and Mrs. Lawrence Law-rence Briggs were seated near the receiving line. Greeting guests was Lynn Woolston, cousin of the bride; Miss Jane Packard performed hostess duties, and Miss Peggy Johnson had charge of the guest book. Caring for the gift display were, Mrs. N. R. Johnson. Mrs. Alton Storrs, Mrs. Elijah Chip-man, Chip-man, Mrs. William Coleman, Mrs. Kenneth . Whlmpeyi Mrs. Kent Cook, and Mrs. Fred Whit lng who were assisted by Mau rine Zabriskle, Margie Nielsen, Robert Johnson, Billy Coleman, Linda Storrs, Ora Jean Peterson, Wallace Cook-' and Gary Lee Whiting. . Organ music during the evening was furnish ed by. Miss Irene MOnson and Miss Donna Richards. Decorations were the work of Mrs. Alton Storrs, Mrs. Elijah Chlpman, Mrs. Sherman Robin son, Mrs. Jay Larsen and Miss Ora Jean Chlpman. Mrs. WUlard R. Cleghorn,- Mrs. George- Storrs and Mrs. Glen H. varney cared for the trousseau room, i Prenuptlal events 'which hon ored the bride were a dinner party given by coworkers of the FBI offices in Salt Lake City and a bridal shower by Mrs. Stanley Walker, Pleasant Grove. Mr., and' Mrs.' N. R. Johnson and two children and Mr. and Mrs. William Coleman and three children, all of Colton, Calif. came especially to attend the wedding1. ' On return from their wedding trip the new Mr. and Mrs. Briggs will make a home in Salt Lake City where he will continue his studies at the University Uni-versity of Utah college of medicine. medi-cine. .' - ! Briggs Gail Beveridge To Be Bride Of Mid-September Miss Gall Beveridge will become be-come the bride of Bill Sorenson in a September 19, wedding. The bride elect Is a daughter of Mrs. Pearl Beveridge and J. N. Beveridge. Bev-eridge. The prospective groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Turner, Lehi. Miss Spencer, who is a senior at the Lehi High School, has Travelers Return From Extended Tour Mrs. Don Mack Dalton and daughter Gene recently returned return-ed from a two months sightseeing sightsee-ing tour, and to visit Lt. J.g. George Edward Dalton, dispersing dispers-ing officer for the United States Navy In San Juan, Puerto Rico. They were accompanied by Eleanor Elea-nor Jorgenson, Provo, and Lucile Jorgenson, Salt Lake City. They went by car to Mesa Verde National Park, visited the Taos Pueblo Indians, Santa Fe, N.M., Carlsbad Caverns, San Antonla, Houston and Galveston, Galves-ton, Texas. From there they toured New Orleans, and the Gulf Coast states going down the . west coast of Florida to Miami. From there they flew 1,200 miles to Puerta Rico where they spent ten days. On their return they spent a day each In the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, and Cuba. Flying back to Miami, they left by car stop ping at Cyprus Gardens, and St. Augustine. Along the eastern seaboard they saw Fort Sumpter, Jamestown, Williamsburg, Mount Vernon, and Washington, D. C. They also went 'through the Green Mountains of Vermont to Sharon the birthplace of . the Prophet Joseph Smith, ' on - to Palmyra, N. Y, Nlagra Falls, Klrtland, Ohio; Nauvoo, Carthage, Carth-age, and the birthplace of Abraham Abra-ham Lincoln at Springfield, I1L On the way home they visited the., great - Mormon... Memorial Bridge erected by the state of Nebraska in memory of the Mormon pioneers, saw the beau tiful capltol building at Lincoln and visited the monument to William Jennings' Bryan.
