Mr. 'and Mrs. Oscar Hall and Ella Mae, Mr. and Mr,s. Eddie Hall and Claudia visited in Fair-view Fair-view Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Oldroyd and Mr. and Mrs. MelRoy Graham. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd A. Bennett went to Shelley, Idaho, last week to attend the funeral of a close friend, Ffeeman Mallory. Over the week end they had as visitors Mr. andiMrfl. C. F. Hawkins, Prove, and Mr. and ' Mrs. L. J. Hollandr Salt Lake City. This week Mr. Bennett's sister, Miss Kathryn Bennett, Salt Lake City, has been their house guest. Mr. and Mrs. Rosa L. Ingersoll and daughter Margaret, Meeker, Colo., visited with relatives here the first of the week. They were in Utah to enroll Miss Margaret at the University of Utah. Doctor Visits School Dr. John Vernon Miller was a recent visitor at the American Fork Training school on an inspection in-spection visit. Dr. Miller halls from Los Angeles where he is employed by the California state welfare department. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Chlpman, Relva Booth Ross, and Leo Van Wagoner were In Midway Wedi hesday of last week to attend the funeral of John U. Probst, 89. Visits ..Washington Thomas A. Greenwood has returned re-turned home after spending a week in Fort Lewis, Wash., with his son-in-law and daughter Lieut, and Mrs. Douglas C. Strong. On the way home he visited Seattle and Butte, Mont. Mrs. Paul H. Webber and Mrs. B. I. C. Norton, San Francisco, Cal., arrived in American Fork Saturday evening to spend two weeks with their mother, Mrs. Robert E. Booth. Scourers 'Set' Annual Confab at Provo Thur. Peterson and Miss Billie Hock which took place In St Paul's Cathedral They also attended the reception which followed at the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. William P. Hock. The groom Is a son of the late Adolph and Lo-v Lo-v rena Orant Peterson. Scout executives from 40 Utah national parks council districts will meet Thursday for the twenty-ninth annual council-wide council-wide conference. The meeting is scheduled at College Hall, BYU campus, beginning be-ginning at 7. 45 , p. m. according to Rulon W. Doman, scout executive ex-ecutive for the Parks council. Objectives of the council for the coming year will be the main item of business for discussion, Mr. Doman revealed. All board members and members mem-bers of the finance committee will meet to discuss and approve a department operating budget for the coming year. Special invitations to the con ference were given to all church and civic organizations in Utah who sponsor or support scouting activities, Mr. Doman said. Election of council officers for the next year is also a highlight high-light of the conference. A report re-port of the nomination committee commit-tee will be given by Charles D. A baby girl, their first, arrived early Friday morning at the local hospital for Mr. and Mrs. Walter M. Btlmschiissel. The petite miss, who weighed five pounds nine ounces, was born on her grandfather's grand-father's birthday and win be named Julie for him. Grandparents Grand-parents are Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Julian Reimschllssel and Mrs. Emily Pederson, Pleasant Grove. The new mother will be remembered remem-bered as Eva Pederson. Just what they ordered, an eight pound boy, arrived at the hospital Sunday night at 10 p. m. for May Louise and Jack Lee. The black-haired heir will be called Gary. More than proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lee, American Fork, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Muzzell, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. Welcomed home this week by three big brothers and a sister was the new little son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Angell who put in an appearance Sept. 12, at the local hospital where he tipped the scales at seven pounds five ounces. Dividing grandmother honors are Mrs. Stella Kemp, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Charlotte Char-lotte Jensen, Spring vllle. Nine pound Dale Hardy who arrived at the local hospital Sept. 12, made three boys and three girls for Mr. and Mrs. Elsworth Hardy. Alpine. Word of his birth was sent immediately immediate-ly to grandparents, Mrs. Louis M. Hardy, Huntsville, and Clark Malan, Ogden. ' Mrs. Fred Whiting (Maxlne Briggs), Salt Lake City, gave birth to her second son just; before be-fore midnight Sept. 19. The sev en pound boy will be the delight of seven year old brother Gary Lee. Welcoming the new arrival were grandparent Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Briggs, American Fork, and William Whiting, Sprlng-ville. Other arrivals at the hospital during the week were: Sept. 13, to Mrs. Clyde Peterson, Peter-son, American Fork, a boy; to Mrs. Virgil Rleske, American Fork, a girl; Sept. 15, to Mrs. Boyd Sunderland, Sunder-land, Lehl, a girl; Sept. 16, to Mrs. Edward Prest-wich, Prest-wich, Ore., a girl; to Mrs. James Neal, American Fork, a boy, and to Mrs. Mark Jorgenson, Pleas ant Grove, a girl. Patients admitted to the hos pital during the week were Mrs. Brian Bezzant, Francis Bjerre-gaard, Bjerre-gaard, Clara Muzzell, all of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove; David Morton, Lin-don; Lin-don; and Brent Devitt, eight year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Devitt, American Fork, who has a fractured left leg. G. Withdraws City officials of American Fork and Orem are striving to work out a satisfactory arrangement to use the garbage dump area provided by Utah county. A new arrangement was necessitated by the fact that Pleasant Grove decided not to use the county dump but use an area on the east bench In the city. Mapleton, an unincorporated city, Is also working with officials offic-ials from American Fork and Orem to reach a satisfactory arrangement ar-rangement to use the county dump area. - The dump area is provided by the county but the olties using it rafrft shoulder the expense of m&lhlaining and operating it. One of the problems facing the cities, according to Walter B. Devey, American Fork representative represen-tative and chairman of the committee, com-mittee, is that citizens In the area between American Fork and Orem, - including Pleasant Grove, will have the prlviledge of using the dump and the contracting" con-tracting" cities ..will, be burdened with all the expense.
