Browning 6k.lc, husband of Esther Leoffler Browning, received his honorable discharge from the navy at Shoemaker, Cal.,-Oct. 15 and has been home for the past two weeks. Mr. Browning first enter ed the army Dec. 15, 1940, as a first lieutenant but resigned his commission in Oct. 1941. In May, 1942, lie Joined the navy and has since been working on a patrol craft boat cruising between New York and South America and ports in Europe. Mr. Browning graduated from the University of Utah in 1939 and ras employed as bookkeeper! by the Union Pacific Railroad in Salt Lake City, a position to which he is returning. The Brownings, who have a three year old daughter, are leaving this week to make their home in Salt Lake City. He has scent two months at Ran ta Monica following his return from Europe where he was a German prisoner of war for ten months. He Is now restored to normal health and " will enter the Brigham Young University. Bsgt. Gien L. Durrant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clvde Durrant and husband of the former Kathleen Kath-leen West of Pleasant Grove, recently re-cently returned from Europe and received his honorable disr.harre from the US army Oct. 28 after being in the service 56 months. He enlisted March 3, 1941. He is wearing four battle stars on his ETO ribbon for participation in tne campaigns at Normandy, Northern France, the Rhlneland and Central Germany. He is now getting acquainted with his little daughter. Kathv Ann. whom he had not seen until his arrival home. F. O. Lloyd Dean Bennett, husband hus-band of Owen Preston Bennett and son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd A. Bennett, IS home with his hon orable discharge from the air corps, after being in training since Aug. 19, 1943. Mr. Bennett was first stationed at Miami, Fla., next sent to Michigan State College Col-lege at Lansing for CTD training. He was at San Antonio, Tex., for his prefllght training, at Harlin-gen Harlin-gen for gunnery training and graduated at San Angelo, Tex., July 18, 1945, as a flight officer. He received his discharge Oct. 26 Cpl. Bern L. Dean, son of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Dean, who has been in the service since April, 1944, received his honorable dis charge from the service Oct. 8, having over 80 points. He was a driver of light trucks with the military occupational specialty, transporting personnel and equipment over all types of terrain. He was In Italy during the nothern Appenines and Po Valley campaigns and is entitled to wear the European - African - Middle East service medal with two battle bat-tle stars and the good conduct medal. He spent eight months in the US and 9 months overseas. Mr. Dean's wife, is the former Dorothy Marcroft of Bellllower, Cal. They have three children. He has already resumed his work with his father. TSgL V. Keith Adamson. son of Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Adamson, is home with his honorable dis charge after 56 months in the service, 23 of which were spent overseas. The past several months he has been stationed at Carlsbad, N. M., following his discharge he took a short trip through Texas and then went to California to visit relatives before be-fore coming home. His brother, Cpl. Karl B. Adamson, Adam-son, Is In Japan with the intelligence intelli-gence department of the 32nd division. Ruben Jeffs, arm of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Jeffs, with his wif ana son Gary have gone to then home in Twin Falls, Idaho, af tei visiting here for two weeks. He has had training in California, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Oklahoma. He re ceived his discharge from Lowry Field, Colo., Oct. 30, but .Is sub Ject to redraft. Lynn Nllsson RM 1c, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Nllsson, arrived ar-rived home Oct. 23 from Brem erton, Wash., with his discharge from the navy which he received Oct. 14. He was in the South Pacific for many months and had visited (uninvited) most oi the island as far as the Philip pines. He is entitled to wear the Pre-Pearl Harbor, American De fence, Asiatic-Pacific with 11 battle stars, the Philippine Lib eratlon with one battle star and the good conduct ribbon. Since last February he has been sta tioned at Bremerton. His brother, Bruce Nllsson Y 3c, Is stationed at Bainbrldge, Md., working at a separation center. Bailey, has received his honorabb discharge from the navy. He enlisted in July, 1942, and has srent most of the tlmo on the various islands of the South Pacific. At the present time he is in San Fran clsco waiting for his wife, Cpl Rosalie S.
