'New Neighbors" Each week this column will carry an introductory itory of some new citizen who has chosen American Fork as their future home. Clubs and Socials MEET THE KEYNIEKS Mr. and Mrs. J. Harry Reynier moved to Columbia Village last May so are now beginning to feel like oldtimers. Mr. Reynier. one of California's native .sons, spent a few years In Nevada on his way inland so w.is gradually weaned from the land of perpetual sunshine. He was eonnected with the Consolidated Consoli-dated Copper Mines and with the Gabbs Valley Magnesium at Ely, Nevada, as chief engineer. He received his dourer as a designing design-ing engineer from the University of California. He enjoys fishing and hunting but his pet hobby is a camera. Ho fore the war stopped production produc-tion of materials for civilians Mr. Baymer developed his own pictures pic-tures and has produced some outstanding results. Mrs. . Rrynier is not far from homo. A native of Ogden she- Mary Potter attended the Sacred Sac-red ileart Academy and biwfncss college. Then good luck took her to Ely, Nevada,' to do secretarial secre-tarial work. She met her future husband and they were married there. The Revniers are buying their home at 9 Roosevelt Avenue and , expect to become permanent residents of American Fork. Announcing! O. Gardner, a girl; and to Mrs. Paul Black-hurst Black-hurst of Pleasant Grove, a boy. Thimble Club Mrs. Tom Walker, the new president of the Thimble Club, was hostess to the group at her home in American Fork canyon last Friday evening. Honor was paid to the four past presidents of the club, Mrs. Glen W. Baker, Mrs. Myron R. Moyle, Mrs. Earl Larson, and Mrs. Francis Abel. Each was presented with a book let containing expressions ui ap- ) preciation from the club members. mem-bers. The luncheon featured a birthday birth-day cake with a music box in compliment to Mrs. Alvin Mon-son, Mon-son, Mrs. Morley Zabriskie and Mrs. Kenneth McDonald, whose birthdays occur during the month. Special guests were Mrs. Harold A. Smith of Pleasant Grove and Mrs. David Allen.
