Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shafter of Bingham were visiting here Tuesday with Mr. Shafter's sisters, Mrs. C. A. Grant and Miss Llllie Shafter. Coast Guard Requirements Listed By Officer The United States Coast Guard is now offering qualified young men between the ages of 18 and 31 years a career with steady pay, adventure travel, and education. Applicants must pass a strict physical examination, examina-tion, nave at least a grammar school education, be intelligent, with no police record, and be single without dependents. The enlistment period is three years. Due to the existing National Emergency the opportunities opportuni-ties for promotion and advancement are excellent. Recruits will be immediately im-mediately transferred to Port Town-send Town-send Training Station, Port Town-send, Town-send, Washington following their enlistment. After a training period of 5 or 6 weeks they will be sent to sea aboard one of the sea-going units of the Coast Guard. (Do not brown.) Add flour and seasonings season-ings and blend until smooth. Add mUk gradually and cook until smooth and thickened, stirring constantly. Add pimiento. Let bay lea stand in sauce while biscuit crust is being made. Sift flour with baking powdn and salt. Cut in Spry until mix-tore mix-tore is aa fine as meal. Add milk, beating with a fork into a soft dough. Roll to '-inch thickness. Cut with floured doughnut cutter. Remove bay leaf from sauce and add tuna fish. Pour into baking dish greased with Spry and top with rings and center of biscuit dough. Bake in very hot oven (450 F.) 25 to 30 minutes. Serve hot. Serves 6. . A program was given, consisting con-sisting of four numbers by the band, under the direction of Mrs. Harold Chipman; a story "Old Witch Finds A Cat" by Mrs. Harold Ramsay, and a story, "Little Brown Koko Plays Pranks" by Mrs. Si Bell. Later Lat-er games were played, under the direction di-rection of Mrs. Bill Walters and refreshments re-freshments were served by the mothers.
