Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Hensea Nlelson from their son, Nello, who Is stationed with the marine in China to protect American interest there, ot the serious accident ac-cident which occured to him about two weeks ago. Through his letter he explains that the real fighting in China is 2,000 miles inland from where he is stationed station-ed on a patrol boat on the Yangtxe River, near the Chinese coast. Some of the Chinese are not very friendly to the outside nations 'who are settling in China and he was shot by Chinese who were hidden in the vegetation along the river. The shot entered hi right breast and for some time he was considered to be in a serious) condition. At pres ent he Is In the Naval Hospital in the city of Shanghai and is doing as well as can be expected under the present conditions. KOTICE!!!! Several district in the cemetery are to be levelled, dirt hauled haul-ed and lawns planted, ' if Memorial Day plans mature. People who were former residents of our city were seen greeting others and the genuine hand clasps and greetings bespeak their gladness of meeting for a few cheering words.
