He married Inge Olsen and raised a family of four children. They were converted to the LDS religion by missionaries in the early 1950's. One of these missionaries mission-aries is Boyd Neilsen, who is a resident res-ident of Highland. Gustav was made branch president of a small branch in Copenhagen for a few years before deciding to move with their little family in 1956. This was a brave and daring choice since they did not know the language. They had many good friends who had made the move prior to theirs. They attended the Danish Branch in Salt Lake City for many years. Gustav became Branch President and served for many years. Gustav and Inge added one more daughter to their family, making a total of five children. They are: Jette Laws, Steen Olsen, Annemette Delwich, Dorte Anderson and Kristine Olsen. They have 11 grandchildren Gustav Olsen and three great-grandchildren. Gustav is retired now from serving as an administrator of convalescent convales-cent hospitals throughout California and Utah.
