View High Senior Send-off and Lagoon Day Will be today at 9 a.m. Commencement exercises for Class of 2008 Will be Friday at 9 a.m. at the BYU Marriott Center. Mtn. View senior receives Crystal Eagle Award Rebecca Brough, a graduating senior at Mountain View, was among 17 students throughout the state who were named recipients of the Utah Valley State College Outstanding Citizenship Crystal Crys-tal Eagle Scholarship Award. The recognition has been given to exemplary Utah high school seniors for the past 10 years for their distinguished leadership leader-ship traits. Recipients were selected based on their desire to learn and share expertise, sensitivity to others, respect for peers, and maintaining a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Students awarded the Crystal Eage receive a half -tuition scholarship to UVSC and a lead crystal carved eagle mounted on a plaque with their name. UCAS UCAS student excels at International Inter-national Science Fair Bridger Maxwell, a junior at the Utah County Academy of Sciences, recently placed fourth in the International Science Fair in the computer sciences section. His project was a multi-touch screen system for under $300, which posted on his blog, received over 120,000 page hits. The competition was in Atlanta, Georgia, the week of May 11-16.
