BUSINESS BURGLARIES - Officers responded to a couple of alarms over the weekend and found burglaries when they arrived ar-rived to investigate. All threp of these cases are similar in nature and likely done by the same person per-son or persons. The stores were all forcibly entered when someone some-one broke out the glass on the front door to the business. The business cash registers were targeted. Family Dollar Store, 1666 S. State Officers responded at 2.25 a m. Sa'urday morning to the alarm and found one of the cash registers thrown on the floor and smashed. No money reported stolen. Woto X.1752 S. State -Officers responded at 4:14 a.m. on Monday morning to an a'arm call. When the officers arrived, they found a cash register was carried outside the store and left in front of the business. An undetermined amount of cash was missing. Evidence seems to indicate that a suspect may have left the area on a bicycle. A perimeter pe-rimeter was established, but the suspect was not located. Custom Form Counter Tops, 317 N. State - At 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning officers were summoned to the store to investigate inves-tigate forced entry and the theft of money from a cash box in the store. Entry was made by breaking break-ing a window. ASSAULT ON AN OFFICER 29-year-old Joshua A. Mathie, of Orem, was drunk and climbing climb-ing the walls, literally, on Jan 26. Mathie went into Savers at 81 N. State St on Saturday afternoon and climbed a wall in the storage stor-age room and started breaking halogen lights. Officers had to pull him off the wall because he wouldn't come down by himself. Mathie had wet himself and needed to be attended to by paramedics because of his level of intoxication. While being examined, he kicked an officer in the face. He was cleared to go to jail and was booked into the Utah County jail for intoxication, intoxica-tion, disorderly conduct, assault on a police officer and criminal mischief. mm LSUIMiCE ACIEXC1 home auto - life business iMwm 374-0395 yS) Richard Foote Ross Schofield B1 V o V3 r www.footeinsurance.com 305 N.
