May 18, 2006 ) - s' .. --r m t i Courtney Hunter Hanks, Giles The Ensign School in American Fork would like to congratulate Courtney Fay Hunter as the State Champion of Utah for Scholastic Challenge 2006. Out of some 26,000 accomplished students from American Ameri-can schools all over the world, 14-year-old Courtney, an 8th grade student at Ensign, was one of only 54 winners to receive this honor from the American Scholastic Achievement League. Each year thousands of students are challenged chal-lenged to demonstrate a variety of skills in mathematics, science, language, lan-guage, history, and geography, not just one specific academic discipline. Courtney was honored Monday at a devotional at school where she "received a trophy, a medal, and a certificate of merit for her impressive impres-sive achievement. Courtney is the daughter of Robert and Sherry Hunter of Lehi, the oldest of four childrea Her hobbies hob-bies include tennis, writing stories and poetry, reading, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
