Police encourage residents to report any type of unusual activity or persons in their neighborhood. CLASSES - AlpineHighland Police Department offers numerous numer-ous bicycle safety courses, lectures lec-tures and rodeos. A motorcycle safety course is also offered twice a year, and both may be scheduled by contacting Officer Miller at the police department. DRIVING ON SUSPENSION Police arrested an adult female for driving on suspension, expired registration, and no insurance card in her vehicle, after she was stopped for a minor traffic violation viola-tion in Alpine. TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - A traffic accident on Highland Boulevard resulted in a vehicle rollover. The driver of the vehicle reported to police the trailer being pulled behind the vehicle began to fishtail, fish-tail, causing the driver to lose control con-trol of the vehicle and it rolled. No injuries were reported. TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - Police responded to a traffic accident in Alpine after a driver hit a parked car. The driver reported that while reaching for an item in the vehicle, the driver swerved to the right and hit the parked car. No injuries were reported, and the parked vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the accident. OVERDOSE - Police responded to a Highland residence where a 17-year-old had overdosed on the drug ecstasy. Medical personnel transported the individual to the hospital. THEFT A Highland resident reported someone had stolen the entire mailbox, post and all. It is unknown if there was mail inside the mailbox at the time of the theft, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - An unknown suspect scattered the filling from a large, green, stuffed dragon in the yard of a Highland residence. ARREST - An 18-year-old man was arrested for failure to obey an officer, harboring a runaway, possession of tobacco by a minor, providing tobacco to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. An officer observed a woman runaway at a local hotel smoking cigarettes with the man. When the officer attempted to talk to the subjects they ran and were later apprehended. THEFT A 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy were arrested for theft after they took money from their grandfather. LEAVING THE SCENE - A 75-year-old man was cited for leaving the scene of a property damage accident after he backed into another vehicle at a local business and left the scene without contacting contact-ing the other driver. COMMUNICATION INTERFERENCE INTERFER-ENCE A 33-year-old man was arrested for interrupting a 911 call. Officers responded to a family fight report; During a verbal argument argu-ment the woman attempted to call 911 and the man unplugged and threw the phone to prevent her from contacting the police. THEFT A 34-year-old man was arrested for theft after he took a wooden pallet from a local business. busi-ness. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, DOMESTIC DOMES-TIC VIOLENCE - A 26-year-old man was arrested for criminal mischief domestic violence after officers responded to a report of a family fight, where the man took a chair and threw it into an entertainment entertain-ment center. CURFEW VIOLATION - A 17-year-old boy was cited for curfew violation. THEFT A 38-year-old man was arrested for possession of stolen property after he was found in possession of a stolen bike. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE INFLU-ENCE A 19-year-old woman was arrested for DUI. Officers responded to a report of check forgery and found the woman driver to be under the influence of a controlled substance. CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROBLEMFORGERY - A 51-year-old man was arrested for forgery, possession of metham-phetamines, metham-phetamines, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A 21-year-old man was also arrested for forgery and possession of a forged writing writ-ing device. Officers responded to a local business where the men were attempting to cash a stolen check. ILLEGAL CONSUMPTION Two 18-year-old boys were arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol and intoxication after officers responded to a report of a man passed out on the front lawn of a residence. THEFT - Officers responded to a report of a burglary of a garage in which construction tools where taken. Ryobi saws and drills were taken. The approximate value is more than $1,000. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - Officers responded to a report of a criminal mischief. Several juvenile boys had thrown rocks at a vehicle causing damage to it. The damage amount was unknown. Eagle Mountain DRUG ARREST - Police officers offi-cers arrested a man following a traffic stop at the entrance to Hidden Valley on July 20. The man was arrested for an outstanding criminal warrant, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. BRUSH FIRE - A Are burned three acres of weeds and brush in the Hidden Valley area during the afternoon of July 20. Two juveniles shooting rifles apparently started the fire. Firefighters from Eagle Mountain, Cedar Fort, Saratoga Springs, Lehi, Utah County and the Bureau of Land Management responded to the fire. They had the fire contained within three hours, but maintained an all-night watch to make sure the fire didn't flare back to life. He will be given a summons for criminal trespass. JUVENILE PROBLEM - Officers investigated a report of three juvenile juve-nile boys playing with BB guns. Orem WARRANT, FALSE INFORMATION INFORMA-TION - 37-year-old Rodulfo Rodriguez Estrada of Orem was stopped on Friday morning in the car he was driving at 800 North 800 East. After providing several false names, it was finally discovered dis-covered who Rodriguez-Estrada was and that he was wanted on a $100,000 warrant for Distribution of a Controlled Substance out of Salt Lake City. He was booked into the Utah County jail, where INS also put a hold on him for aggravated aggra-vated re-entry into the United States. He also had no insurance on the car he was operating. The officers fround 20-year-old Kyson Clegg. He gave them a false name to try and hide the fact that he was wanted on a $10,000 warrant for failure to appear out of the Utah County Justice Court. Clegg was booked into the county jail. WARRANTS, DRUGS, RESISTING RESIST-ING QRREST- Officer Theron. Leany was dispatched on a reported report-ed family fight Sunday morning morn-ing and contacted 31 -year-old Christopher McCubbin of Orem on a bicycle as McCubbin was leaving the area of 800 N. 200 E. The family dispute had not been physical, ut McCubbin had 11 warrants out of five different jurisdictions juris-dictions for his arrest. McCubbin decided not to go peacefully when told he was under arrest and had to be wrestled to the ground by two officers before he could be handcuffed. He was searched after being handcuffed and had a meth pipe, a marijuana pipe, and some marijuana in his pockets. He was booked into the Utah County Jail. AUTO BURGLARY - A radio and CDs were stolen sometime Sunday night from an unlocked car parked in the apartments' parking lot at 1100 S. 1300 West. The radio was valued at $100. The CDs were valued at $1,000. AUTO BURGLARY - A man reported a tool box stolen from his unlocked car during the day Monday. The car had been parked in the area of 1100 S. 1300 West.
