Orchard Elementary El-ementary School teachers had an opportunity to become students for a day when BYU geology major Briana Thomas spent a day giving giv-ing them pointers about how better bet-ter to teach that subject. The program, called "Teaching Elementary School Teachers how to Teach Geology." was presented to the four fourth grade classes at Orchard. Thomas brought samples of rocks and minerals and spent time in each class teaching the children about them while show ing teachers tips on how better to teach these units themselves. They have outgrown their existing theater. This new theater will include larger bathrooms, more bathrooms, more parking closer to the building, better access for their disabled guests, more seats, seats with more legroom and wider cushions, seats with a direct view of the stage, state-of-the-art sound and lights, a rotating stage, a larger, lovelier lobby with a huge Patron Mural, and rehearsal areas large enough for any show! Auditions for "Jake's Corner" set Auditions for "Jake's Corner," a Roaring 20s musical-comedy, will be held Saturday, Jan. 6 from 10 a.m. to nxjn and Tuesday, Jan. 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Valley Center Cen-ter Playhouse, 780 North 200 East in Lindon. Needed are four women ages 18 23, one women age 65 and seven men ages 20-60. Most characters char-acters must sing.
