Show August 9. 2000 C Utah County Fair 2000 , D Page 11 OlG- in I- Habitat for Humanity of Utah County will be sponsoring its Second annual Charity Golf Tournament on September 21, 2000 at Gladstan Golf Course in Payson, Utah. The affiliate is currently looking look-ing for up to 30 teams to play in the event. A donation of $125.00 per person, in a team of four, will go along way in building Humanity Hu-manity homes for needy families in Utah County. The donation includes green fee, cart and lunch. Corporate hole sponsors are also being solicited for a donation do-nation of $1,000 per hole. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit ecumenical Christian organization committed to building simple, decent houses with those in need of affordable shelter. Habitat does not give away homes. Families are selected se-lected based one need and the ability to make a minimum house payment. Recipient families fami-lies are required to put in 350 to 500 "sweat equity" hours and pay a down payment. Upon completion, the home is sold to the family based on the actual cost of construction with a 20 to 30 year nn-''"trest loan. Miss Utah County pageant to be held Miss Utah County will be held August 10, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. at the McKay Events Center.
