Scott and Jeanie Wilson, will marry Greg James Packer, son of Greg and Sue Packer and Jeff and Cary Ledbetter, on February 12, 2000. A reception will be held from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at the Timpview Stake Center, 600 West 1000 North, Orem. The bride-to-be is a graduate of EVAN BAUGH Evan Baugh celebrates 80th birthday Evan Baugh will celebrate his 80th birthday on February 15, with a family party that evening. Evan was born February 15, 1920 in Hyrum, Utah to Alice and Peter Baugh. He attended South Cache High School where he excelled ex-celled in basketball and tennis. He was given a scholarship to Utah State Agricultural College where he was a starter on the basketball team and also lettered in tennis. 1 He married Clara Bair on March 7, 1941 in the Logan Temple. They had five children: Gary, Steven, Beverly, Kathy and Julie. After graduating from Utah State University in June 1942, Evan was ordered to active duty as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Coast Artillery and was sent to Ft. Worden', Washington. He spent four years in the service during World War II with duty at Ft. Worden, Washington, D.C. and the Philippine Islands. Evan began his teaching career in 1946 in Ririe, Idaho where he coached football, basketball and Softball and taught mathematics. In 1948 he came to Lincoln High School to coach basketball and teach math. In 1962-63 he became be-came principal of Lincoln Junior High School. In 1975 he was appointed ap-pointed principal of Lakeridge Junior High School where he remained re-mained until his retirement in 1980. Evan and Clara have been married mar-ried 59 years. They have 32 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. She is an assistant coach for the Orem Lazers (AAU basketball bas-ketball team) and works at Super Cuts in Riverdale. Her fiance is a graduate of Fremont Fre-mont High School. The couple will make their first home in Layton. ALICE YOUNG HUNT . , Alice Hunt celebrates birthday On February 9, 2000 Alice Young Hunt of Orem will celebrate cel-ebrate her 82 birthday. She was born in Grantsville, Utah to Inez Erickson and Thomas A. Young. Alice attended and graduated from school sin Grantsville. After graduation, she moved to Salt Lake City. On November 20, 1940 she married M. Dover Hunt in the Salt Lake Temple. She moved with her husband to Orem in 1943. Alice and Dover have been married 59 years and they are the parents of three sons and two daughters. Over the past 56 years, Mrs. Hunt has been active in civic, community, and church serving on the Orem Heritage Board, Orem. Women's Club, in the PTA and as a teacher and president in the Relief Society, YWMIA and Primary. She and her husband served an LSD Mission at the Mesa Temple Visitor's Center. For the past several years, she has also been involved in Name Extraction. Ex-traction. Her family has always been a priority in her life and she has crocheted an afghan for each of her grandchildren. She has always al-ways enjoyed doing things for others. oth-ers. One of her favorite things to do is playing card games with her children, grandchildren and friends. She usually is the winner win-ner and has taught many of us how to lose gracefully. On Saturday, she will be joined by her husband, five children and their spouses, as well as her 23 grandchildren (minus two who are serving LDS missions), and four great-grandchildren at a celebration cel-ebration to be held in her honor at the home of her eldest son. perform Springville Art Museum. She was born in Kansas City in 1905. She looks forward to being around when the Olympics come to Utah. She especially loves to watch the ice skating competitions. competi-tions. Betty has traveled many places around the world and has enjoyed her multiple trips to Eu rope, and a cruise on the Medi- terranean. She has also passed through the Panama Canal. As a younger woman she taught dance all of her adult life. She believes she taught at least 4,000 students over the years. She also enjoyed working in the Provo Temple for many years. She spends a lot of her time knitting knit-ting and watching TV with her pet dog, Monet. She also attends all of her Sunday church meetings meet-ings every week.
