Lone Peak won both the boys and girls meets, while Mountain View took second in both, Orem High girls took third and the boys placed fourth and the Timpanogos girls sixth and the boys eighth. . Team scores for the girls were Lone Peak 324, Mountain View 215.5, Orem High 185, Spring-ville Spring-ville 178.5, American Fork 120, Mountain View swimmers defeat Timpview Mountain View High School swimmers swept both ends of a dual meet with Timpview High School last Wednesday. The ; Bruin girls won 102 to 68 while . the boys won 106-61. Double first place finishers for Mountain View were Diane - Johnson in the 200 IM (2:3.0.27) i and 100 butterfly (1:12.41), ! Rachelle Koenen in the 500 free (5:32.40) and 100 back (1:03.49), Jeffrey Baker in the 50 free (24.74) and 500 free (5:38.31), and John Schaalje in the 200 IM (2:17.05) and 100 butterfly (59.28). Other first place finishers finish-ers for the girls were Melissa Wood in the 100 breast (1:23.73), Lindsay Marek in the 100 free (58.90), the 200 medley relay team (2:03.61), and the 200 free relay team. For the boys Daniel Cobia took first in the 100 back (1:07.47), along with the 200 medley relay team, the 200 free ; relay team, and the 400 free re- lay team. Womens B Singles: Karen Celebrate ill Olympic The Peaks Ice Arena, the venue for Women's Ice Hockey during the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympics will open its doors Friday Fri-day November 20, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. with a Celebration of the Olympic Dream and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony. Public officials from around the state as well as key public figures will be invited to attend the event. The theme of the event will be "A Celebration of the Olympic Dream." Several members of the Ice Authority, the organization that retains ownership of The Peaks, will be speaking at the event. Utah County Commissioners, Commission-ers, the Chairman of the Ice Authority Au-thority and Owners of Seven Peaks are among those who are scheduled to address those in attendance. at-tendance.
