S FOR 156 AGAINST 158 PAUL JAEGER Paul Jaeger received Eagle Scout Award Paul Jaeger, 15, son of Van and Laraine Jaeger, of Orem, has earned his Eagle Scout award and will be honored at a special Court of Honor on Sunday, November 6 at 6 p.m. at the Northridge 10th Ward Chapel. He is a member of Troop 568. For his Eagle Project he helped the Utah Coalition for organ, eye and tissue donations by passing out donor cards for volunteers to sign. Paul is a sophomore at Orem High School. Gary Lancaster completes recruit training, gains promotion Marine Pfc. Gary B. Lancaster, Lan-caster, son of Gary L. and Joanne 0. Lancaster of Orem, recently completed recruit training and was promoted to his present rank. During the training cycle at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, recruits are taught the basics of battlefield survival and are introduced to typical military daily routine and personal and professional standards. All recruits participate in an active physical conditioning program pro-gram and gain proficiency in a variety of military skills, including includ-ing first aid, rifle marksmanship, and close-order drill. Teamwork and self-discipline are emphasized em-phasized throughout the cycle. The Marine Corps has always been an elite force of individuals, and there will always be a need for those individuals who are not only tough, but smart. The Marine Corps has more than 38,000 outstanding career opportunities oppor-tunities for qualified young men and women. Lancaster is a 1993 graduate of Mountain View High School.
