Energy Conservation program needs volunteers to educate homebound The Energy conservation program, pro-gram, sponsored by the Utah County Housing Authority, needs volunteers from the community to help educate homebound citizens on how to lower their utility bills. With the coming change of seasons, many people's utility bills will be increasing. This presents a serious difficulty for many handicapped or senior citizens who are homebound. According to David Wilson, the program coordinator, "Volunteers "Volun-teers are responsible for teaching homebound seniors and handicapped hand-icapped individuals in their homes about energy conservation." conserva-tion." Detours around the construction construc-tion zone, which runs between 1280 North and the BYU Diagonal, are clearly marked, Christiansen said. The main detour routes are Freedom Boulevard (200 West) and Canyon Road. Travelers can get to BYU by using either of the detour routes. Businesses in the construction zone can also be reached by using the detours and alternate routes, such as Ream Avenue (1450 North).
