A garden Club Donates $700 To UVII The Springville-based Alpha Beta Chapter of the worldwide sorority, Epsilon Sigma Alpha, has presented a gift of $700 to Utah Valley Hospital to be used in the cancer treatment treat-ment program. Sorority representatives, representa-tives, Jill Kendall of Orem and Janna Johnson of Provo, presented the gift to Grant C. Burgon, Hospital Hos-pital Administrator. This is the second annual donation the club has made to the hospital, and Mr. Burgon expressed sincere appreciation for the generous contribution. "Gifts of this nature are of especially great value to the hospital because be-cause they allow us the flexibility to purchase needed equipment and to strengthen programs that the budget would otherwise other-wise not permit," said Mr. Burgon. "We are grateful to all the members of this fine organization for their contribution. It is especially espe-cially .timely, inasmuch as we will be opening a new cancer treatment facility by Dec, 1980." A floor-length long veil trimmed in lace v- JAY BUTTERFIELD Butterfield To Perform July 1 Jay Butterfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Butterfield, Orem, will be performing a recital July 1, at 8 p.m. at the Madsen Recital Hall in the Harris Fine Arts Center at BYU. He is currently studying study-ing with Robert Smith, a professor at BYU. Mr. Butterfield has played with his two brothers for the Utah Valley Symphony. Sym-phony. He has entered the Utah State Fair Competitions. Compe-titions. He received a superior rating at the Regional Piano Festival this past year and was an accompanist for the Orem High A Cappella Choir. He is currently a piano teacher. Composers to be performed per-formed in the recital are Bach, Mozart, Schurbert, Brahms, and Protofiev. The public is invited to attend. Craft Show On Display The first Provo Arts and Crafts Show, sponsored spon-sored by the Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain Society of Artists, is being held in the North Park, 500 N. 500 W., Provo, through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Many artists and craft artists from Utah and the surrounding areas are participating in the art show. On display will be landscapes, seascapes, still life, animals, flowers, portraits, wood carvings, stain glass, as well as many other crafts.
