Show Judges Selected For 1977 fYiiss Oram Gala April 1 6 Five judges have been named to select the new Miss Orera for 1977 on the night of Saturday, April 16. The panel of judges is qualified and represent a wide range of talent, according toStan Adams, chairman for the Orem Boosters, Inc. Those who have been named as judges for the Miss Orem Scholarship Pageant are: John Adkins, a sponsor of the 'Miss Utah Breakfast; LaRue Brewster, Brews-ter, director of the Utah State Fair Queen PageantjSharonCop-Lnga, PageantjSharonCop-Lnga, free-lance model; Stanley Russon, vice-president of the Leyson Pearsall Jewelry Company; Com-pany; and Robyn Timoney, dramatic dra-matic arts teacher. Adkins is a past national president of the Great Lake Mink Association. He was advertising ad-vertising chairman for 15 years for the Great Lake Mink Association. As-sociation. For many years, he lias done advertising for the' Miss Utah contest. He has been a sponsor for the 'Miss Utah Breakfast and a judge for many pageants in Utah for the last 15 years. Mrs. Brewster has been director dir-ector of the Miss Utah State Fair Q ueens Pageant for 14 years. She is a professional artist and teacher of painting. She has had dance training and has taught for several years. Mrs. Copinga has been in the fashion world for the past fifteen fif-teen years. She is a free-lance model. Mrs. Copinga has been a modeling and finishing instructor in-structor at Loretta Young Way. Dior International, Patricia Steven Ste-ven Career College, and Michell's Modeling School. She is presently doing lectures and fashion commentary. Russon is vice president of Leyson Pearsall Jewelry Company Com-pany in Salt Lake. He has filled the roles of producer, director, dir-ector, and performer at Lagoon, Park City, Wilver Wheel Theatre Promised Valley and University of Utah. He was the winner of the Emeritus Club's Alumni Merit Honor Award of the University Uni-versity of Utah in 1973. He was also the first president and organizer or-ganizer of the Retail Jewelers Association. He served for 25 years on the MIAGeneralBoard. Mrs. Timoney has been a teacher tea-cher of dramatic arts and a dance supervisor for the Salt Lake Recreation Department for seven years. She studied ballet for twelve years. Robyn won the title of Miss Salt Lake County in 1971 and Miss Utah State Fair in 1971. In 1972 she was selected as the Most Talented Coed at USU. The fourteen contestants who will vie for the honor of representing re-presenting Orem during the remainder re-mainder of 1977 and until a new queen is selected in 1978, are judged in various categories such as talent, beauty, swim suit, evening dress, stage presence and personality and charm. They have an opportunity to meet and converse with each of the judges at a luncheon held on Saturday of the pageant day. Oreo FFA Attends State Convention Star Chapter Award.
