Grover Gifford, 44, 5337 Bay-wood Bay-wood Circle.pleadedguiltyTues-day, Circle.pleadedguiltyTues-day, January, 2, 1973, to a charge of failing to file Federal income tax returns for the years 1963 and 1969. Chief United State District Judge Willis W. Ritter continued sentencing for 30 days. Gifford was charged on Sept. 19, 1972, with failing to file his 1967, 1968, and 1969 Federal income tax returns. The count relating to the 1967 year was dismissed after Gifford pleaded guilty to the 1968 and 1969 charges. The complaint alleged that Gifford had income of $10, 695 in 1968 and $22,180 in 1969. During the years 1967 through 1979 Gifford was engaged in stock promotions and real estate operations under different corporate cor-porate entities. On March 29, 1970, the Security Sec-urity & Exchange Commission obtained a permanent injunction against Gifford, prohibiting him from using any instruments of transportation or communication in interstate commerce to offer to sell the common stock of Manico Limited or Colonial Investment In-vestment Corporation. Physics Class Planned For Live TV The first class ever to be taught simultaneously at four major educational institutions in Utah will be conducted this winter win-ter semester. Originating at the North Physics Phy-sics Building at University of Utah, the physics class will be broadcast by live television link to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah State University in Logan, and Weber State College in Ogden. It is titled "Seminar in Current Cur-rent Physics Strategic Arms Limitation." Well-known scientists will be speakers in the course, which will be held every Friday at noon in all four schools. Included In-cluded will be Eugene Wigner and Hans Bethe, nobel prize winners; Edward Teller, father of the H-bomb; D. A. Stuart, vice-president of Lockheed Aircraft; Air-craft; Wolfgang Panofoky, Stanford Stan-ford University physicist; Paul Doty, Harvard University chemist; chem-ist; and Allan Peterson of Stanford Stan-ford Research Institute. Dr. B. Kent Harrison, chairman chair-man of the Department of Thy-sics Thy-sics and Astronomy at BYU, will administer the course at BYU.
