Miss Locke graduated from Orem High; she is a member of the LDS Church, She is presently pres-ently employed at the State Farm Insurance office of Vern Little. ; Mr. Edwards is a graduate of Provo High School and the Utah Technical College of Provo. He is a member of the LDS Church. He is employed as an electrician for Automatic Systems Sys-tems in Provo. The couple will wed November 2 in the Provo temple. Baby Girl Keeps Family Hopping Kim Arlene Barney (6 months) daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McCoy Barney of 850 W. 630 N Orem, has proved to be somewhat of a "wonder child to her family, friends and neighbors. According to her mother, she first walked in a walker at 3 months and crawled. She is 6 months old now and is trying to walk by herself. She walks all around the furniture and all around everything, her mother said. She was only 5 lbs 2 oz. at birth, said Mrs. Barney. "And two days later when we brought her home from the hospital she only weighed 4 lbs, 15 oz. She is tiny and petit, even now." But she waves 'bye-bye', and says Mama, Daddy, Papa, and Nana, too, added Mrs. Barney. She only sleeps about an hour a day in the morning and then just goes - goes - goes for the rest of the day. (Bernice ) Cox, November 2. en s Club Holds Opening Social Girl Performs Orem High Students Play In All-State UEA Music Concert Orem High students recently participated in the All-State Band Orchestra and chorus concert held in theSaltLake Tabernacle for UEA Convention members and guests. Band and Orchestra students were selected by audition, coming com-ing from many high schools throughout the state. Max Dalby, guest conductor for the band, is Professor of Music and Head of the Department Depart-ment of Music at Utah State University. Don T. Jager, guest conductor for the orchestra, is presently the Music Director and Conductor of the Midland (Michigan) Symphony Orchestra, Midwestern Music Director for Young Audiences, Inc., and Ar-, tist-in-Residence at Delta College. Col-lege. ' Maurice Casey, guest conductor con-ductor for the chorus is Associate As-sociate professor at the College Col-lege of the Arts' School of Music, Ohio State University. Cascade Holds Worlds Fair The annual Cascade Elemtary School Fair will be held Friday, Oct 13. The fair, with an international inter-national theme, will begin at 5 p.m. and last until 7. The main attractions are the children's exhibits which will be on display in the classrooms. These include baked goods flowers, produce, collections, hobbies, crafts and pets. Special adult demonstrations will also be on display in the classrooms and will include skiing, ski-ing, cake decorating, Indian dances and magic tricks. Dr. LaMar Barrus, director, said the 56-member orchestra will perform at special functions as it did recently at the dedication dedica-tion ceremonies of two buildings on campus.
