Mrs. Scott Ceetrofes 90ff Birthday Mrs. Zina Jorgensen Scott, lovingly called 'Grandma Scott by friends who know and love her, was given a festive birthday party by the family residents of the Convalescent Center in Orem Monday afternoon. Mrs. Scott was radiant as she was greeted by family, residents, and employees. Her favorite music and songs were played just for her, by The Senior Citizens Orchestra. The other residents were pleasantly entertainedalso. Refreshments were served to all present. Zina Jorgensen Scott was born; January 2, 1882 in Lakeview Utah. She is the daughter of Mads and Elvena Jorgensen Sr. Her father was a farmer and a fisherman and one of the first settlers of Lakeview. Zina was raised and educated InLakeview. She married Lewis Camby Scott June 11, 1901. The family lived in the Tintic Mining District for a number of years. In 1919 they movecTtd their present location. Zina has always been a special person to all who know her. She is talented in homemaking, - flower raising and her outstanding outstand-ing hospitality to all who came to her home. She has a keen sense of humor. She has been an active, faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Latter-Day Saints, serving in many capacities. ca-pacities. She has a 50-year pin for Relief Society teaching. - She has four living children, ZeUa Sturgis of Provo, May Olsen of Price, and Lou and Hal Scott of Lakeview. There are 16 living grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren, 2 great great grand children. Conven-tion. Only three in the country are chosen for the honor. This year one of the judges will be E. Dixon Larson, well-known gun collector and expert, and also recently elected Orem City councilman. Enthused ' with the prospect, Mr. Larson said, "I have waited 20 years to do this The show will be held April 20 in Portland, Ore. Mr. Larson recently judged the Ohio Gun Collector's Association show which was held In October and which is reputed to be the world's largest individual state show. Exhibitors display by invitation in-vitation only, according to Mr. Larson, and the invitation is considered con-sidered by a gun collector to be the epitome of belonging. Exhibited at the shows are antique weapons, historical displays dis-plays and education displays. A wealth of history can be traced through the evolvement of guns,' said Mr. Larson. Over the years he collected an impressive array of guns and has become expert in the most minute detail of their construction and part in history. Beatrice Foods Earnings Up Beatrice Foods Co. today reported re-ported increases in net earnings of 17 percent for the third quarter quar-ter and 16 percent for the first nine months of the current fiscal year. Sales, net earnings and earnings earn-ings per common share all set records for both the quarter and nine month periods which ended Nov. 30, 1971,WilliamG.Karnes, president, announced. It was the 79th consecutive quarter that sales and earnings have topped those of the same period of the previous year, he noted.
