Safety Class Improves Good Drivers Good drivers are better drivers driv-ers after completing a Defensive Driving Course, Karl Richards, Director, Safety Council for Utah County stated today. It aids the already licensed driver to recognize recog-nize and avoid driving errors which lead to a traffic mishap. "In most traffic accidents, he said, "a driving error, is the cause factor "Most accidents do not occur deliberately, he added, "and if you analyzed the causation factors in the more than 240 fatal accidents already reported in the state, you'd find that many started from a simple driving error which ballooned Into a death dealing mishap." The evasive actions necessary neces-sary to avoid becoming a traffic accident victim will be offered ' at the Provo High School, Room AM, starting on Tuesday, November No-vember 3rd at 6:30 p.m. In-tructors In-tructors for the Course have en qualified by the National afety Council. "This is an eight hour course, Richards said, "and is taught in four 2-hour sessions over a four week period. The course is intended in-tended for the already licensed driver who wishes to improve on their driving techniques. It is essential, he added, "that all drivers consider some advanced ad-vanced training so as to permit per-mit themselves to cope with today's to-day's modern freeways and better bet-ter engineered automobiles. Anyone wishing to enroll in the course is requested to make advanced ad-vanced registration with the Safety Council for Utah County, 106 City and County Building, Provo, Utah, telephone 373-5510 Extension 69, prior to the start of the Course. As a matter of convenience for those unable to pre-register, enrollment can oe completed Immediately prior to the start of the class. The small registration fee charged at the time of application applica-tion is to cover all costs of the materials used in the course, and is probably the best investment invest-ment that any driver can make In the face of the increase in accidents and traffic deaths in the state. Good drivers, Mr. Richards said, "become better and smarter smart-er drivers when they have completed , this life-saving course. The reaction of a great many of the successful students is that this course should be made a requirement of all who drive on theState'sroad system. nvmYrrmTfa uhiuuihh srn a a a a a a a fl a r "g Senator Dean And Family Extend Thanks To All Those Who Have Supported Their Campaign As the campaign is nearing election day, we extend our thanks; first, to the citizens of Orem who have received re-ceived us so graciously, and especially to the children who have been so eager to learn and so courteous to us as we have come to your homes.
