Show Five Added To LDS Seminaries Announcement Is made by Dr. Harvey L. Taylor, Administrator Church Schools, of the following new personnel for LDS Seminar-iers Seminar-iers in the Orem area: John Lewis Lund, David Coombs, and John Philip Sanders, teachers at Orem Seminary; Howard Marshall Mar-shall principal at Orem-Lincoln Seminary; Max W. Robinette teacher at Orem 9th Seminary. David H. Coombs Mr. David H. Coombs was born at Salt Lake City, Utah. Marshall,Jr. Mr. Howard F. Marshall, Jr. was born In Sacramento, Cal ifornia. He married the former Bernice Agnes Johnson of Chico, California. They are the parents of five children. Mr. Marshall attended Amer ican River Jr. College and in 1957 received an A.A. degree. In 1959 he received a B.A. de gree in social science at Sacramento Sac-ramento State and in 1960 received re-ceived his General Secretary Credential from Sacramento State. He has been in the Seminary program since 1961 and has taught at Brigham City Semin ary. He was also the principal of the Indian Seminary at Brig-ham Brig-ham City during 1963 to 1965. Johnson also of Salt Lake City. rrhey are the parents of one boy. Mr. Coombs fuiimea a mission mis-sion to the Western States from 1959 to 1961. After returning from his mission, he attended the Uni versity of Utah and in 1964 re ceived a B.S. degree in sociology. sociol-ogy. He has been in the Seminary program since 1964 and has taught at Smithfield and Bountiful. J 3 -jlll John Lewis Lund Mr. John Lewis Lund was born in Olympia, Washington. He married mar-ried the former Bonnie Jeanne Gertsch of Idaho Falls, Idaho. They are the parents of two children. Mr. Lund fulfilled a mission to Mexico from 1960 to 1963. After returning from his mission mis-sion he attended Brigham Young University and in 1965 received a B.A. degree in history and geography. ge-ography. While in high school, he received re-ceived the All-American Football Foot-ball Award. Mr. Lund has been in the Seminary program since 1965 and has taught at Clearfield. B. M. Jolley Recuperating At Utah Valley B. M. Jolley is reported recuperating re-cuperating at Utah Valley Hospital Hospi-tal where he was taken last Friday Fri-day after suffering a fainting spell. At that time Mr. Jolley fell and cut his head requiring 18 stitches. He is reported in satisfactory condition. Hospitalization has become a no ' ' Max W. Robinette Mr. Max W. Robinette was born in Brigham City, Utah. He married the former Ileen Taylor of Ogden. They are the parents of one child. Mr. Robinette fulfilled a mission mis-sion to New Zealand from 1957 to 1959. After returning from his mission he attended Utah State University and in 1963 received a B.S. degree in social sciences. Through out his life Mr. Robinette Rob-inette has been very active in Church affairs. He has served as Sunday School stake board member, YMMIA superintendent, and elders class instructor. At the present time he is scout master. mas-ter. He has been with the Seminary program since 1963 and has taught at Terreton Seminary. Just a month ago, Mrs. Jolley was taken to Utah Valley Hospital for treatment of an illness, ill-ness, and a month prior to that Mr. Jolley began the trend when he suffered a stroke. Also hospitalized this week is Mrs. Kendall Jolley, a daughter-in-law who was taken to the hos pital for observation after she was inwnivoH in a truck-car col lision Saturday at the Center and Services Held For Emery Park, 58 Funeral services were held Tuesday for Emery Franklin Parks, 58, 1863 S. 543 E.,Orem, who died Friday evening in the Salt Lake LDS Hospital of a stroke. He was born May 1, 1909, in Viburnum, Iron County, Mo., the son of John Franklin and Margaret Mar-garet Miner Parks. He marriedNormaArleneHen-drickson marriedNormaArleneHen-drickson on Dec. 31, 1951, in Evanston, Wyo. He was a shearman shear-man in the plate finishing mill of Geneva Works, U.S. Steel. He was a member of the LDS Church. He attended the schools in Iron County, Mo., and moved to Granite, Gran-ite, 111., in 1929, and was employed em-ployed by the Granite City Steel Works there. He moved to Provo in 1944 and to Orem in 1957 where he had since resided. He was a member mem-ber of BPOE No. 849. His hobbies hob-bies were bowling, fishing and baseball. Survivors include his widow of Orem; one son, Lawrence H. Parks, Venice, 111.; a stepson, Edward L. Dunn, U.S. Marine Corps, Camp Pendleton, Calif.; one daughter, Connie Rae Parks, Orem; two grand children; three brothers and two sisters.Andrew J. Parks and Finley W. Parks, Granite City 111.; Joe Bennett Parks, Missouri; Mrs. Minnie Rosetta Sumpter, Bixby, Mo.; Mrs. Letha Mae Abner, Salem, Mo. Interment was in the Provo City Cemetery.
