Miss Valerie Jean Godfrey of Canoga Park, California, will be maid of honor, with Carol Ann Hutchinson and Janine Hutchinson as attendants. Cross (Marsha Haycock) Young Couple Make Home In San Diego A pink and white scrolled screen enhanced with green ferns and pink and white flowers pro vided the setting for the marriage mar-riage ceremony of Marsha Haycock Hay-cock and Stephen R. Cross. They were married yesterday, August 23, 1967, in the Orem lst-24th Ward Chapel with Bishop Earl Farnworth' officiating. A reception recep-tion followed. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hacock of Orem and parents of the groom are Mrs. Robert R. Kirkman of Orem and Mr. Ralph Cross of Spring Valley, California. The bride was radiant in a Ml-length gown of nylon satin featuring an empire lace bodice' with a matching scalloped lace train. She carried a bridal bouquet bou-quet of white carnations sur-; rounding a pink orchid. Attending the bride were her sister Debbie Haycock as maid of honor and bridesmaids Nona Tripp, Kay Doyle, Vickey Me,, Sharon Cross and Mrs. Ned J. Carter. Best man was Kay Christiansen. Girl Scouts Learn Glamour at U of U The University of Utah will open its doors for over 575 Cadette GirlScouts Monday, August Aug-ust 21st, for their participation in a program of personal de velopment, titled Glamosphere. Included are fifteen girls from the Orem area. The program will run from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Union Building Ballroom. It will include subjects from clothes styles to social graces. Miss Cammy David, fashion co ordinator for Sears Roebuck and Company will narrate the style show, showing the latest teen fashions. She will emphasize what to wear to what occasions. A demonstration on how to wear makup, and a discussion on dating dat-ing manners will top off the morning morn-ing session. Mr. Worlton's records showed that 28 boys and 49 girls dropped out of school during the year. The three major reasons for leaving leav-ing school were: marriage, 48 students; armed service, 11 students; stu-dents; and releases at 18 years of age, 10 students.
