Anderson; and Sheila Harris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel E. Harris, each were presented $100 scholar ships from the Orem PTA schol arship committee, based upon applications ap-plications and personal interviews inter-views with the girls. In order to qualify the girls had to have a B average or better, bet-ter, be desirous of teaching in a Utah elementary or secondary school and could not be receiving receiv-ing other full scholarships. Purpose of the scholarship, according ac-cording to Mrs. Glenn Pearson. PTA Council president, is to en courage students to apply, civic clubs schools, parents and PTA to contribute, and to encourage students to teach in Utah. The scholarship committee consisted of Mrs. Pearson, Co-leen Co-leen Pinegar, scholarship chairman; chair-man; Mrs. Kay Bowley, president presi-dent Jaycee Wives and Allen Nielsen of Orem High School. Bright Fall Season Slated For Valley Music Hall Valley Music Hall's executive producer, Michael P. Price, to day announced the stars, show, and staff for the Fall Maslcal Season. Incouded are Anna Marin Alberghetti and Carnival, Gordon MacCrae in Oklahoma, and Van Johnson and Jesse White in Take Me Along. The musical season opens September 11th with Carnival, Car-nival, followed by Oklahoma, and Take Me Along, each production running two weeks. These Musicals Musi-cals along with a few selected specials will be included in a season sea-son subscription package. The openine niehts of these musicals will be offered to Charitable Char-itable groups for fund raising, or benefit performances. The Val ley Music Hall, by offering these opening nights to charities hopes it will, in some small way, repay the Utah &. Idaho citizens for their support in the past 6 months. Audition announcements for members of the ensemble and act ing company are forthcoming They are planned for mid-May.
