Studentbody officers; stage managers are Ben Allen, Glen Clark and Kerry Downs. Program Pro-gram chairman, Keren Fowlke. Radio Reporter, Dennis Hunter. News reporter, Nila Roper. Historian, Jane Wellington. Secretary, Sec-retary, Robyn Bullock. Vice -president, David Jaramillo, and president, Steven Leavitt. The seventh grade party was held Friday when the class went roller skating. Tomorrow evening the 8th grade class will go to Saratoga for their annual party. The Science Seminar, along with Lowell Baum, went on a field trip to Geneva Steel Thursday. Thurs-day. They toured the plant and went through the Rolling Mills. The Concert Band traveled to Edgemont school Monday and also gave a short concert to the sixth grade students here at 0. J.H. Tuesday. This week the Citizenship Point Contest on the grade level ended. Since the beginning of the year, students have made posters and did various other activities to get points for their grade and homeroom. Winners are: 1st. place; the ninth grade, with 2699 points. 2nd, seventh grade 2230; 3rd, eighth grade 849. The ninth grade will get an extra school show in the near future. SPECIAL RULES FOR BIKE RIDERS Do not ride another person on your bike. Always keep both hands on the handlebars, except when making signals to turn or stop. ' Keep to the right of the street. Never ziezae in and out of traffic. Ride single file in traffic, never two abreast. At busv Intersections, where there is no traffic light, get off your bike and walk it across. Always give the right-of-way "to both vehicles and pedestrians. Never ride into a street or roan from a house or alley, with out first stoDDimr and looking very carefully for pedestrians or vehicles. Get off the street when you hear a siren or horn of an ap proaching ambulance, fire truck or police car. Never hook rides. Do not ride too closelv behind a car or truck. Never stunt or play while rid-in? rid-in? in the street. Do not ride on sidewalks or cut across lawns. Never coast on icy or wet pavements. Look out for slick corners. If you ride at night, don't get caught in a dark box. (A darkbox . Is a spot where you can't see ahead because you are blinded by the lights of a car coming toward vou) Pull off the road to the ngnt; wait until the car has passed and you can see again before proceeding. Never make a left turn in traffic.
