Show Legal L'otico ORDINANCE No. 22 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AMEND-ING SECTION 20-2-68 OF TITLE 20 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF OREM CITY, OREM, UTAH, 1959, AND PROHIBITING THE ACCESSIBILITY TO MIN ORS OF TOBACCO OR PAPER MADE OR PRE PARED FOR THE PUR POSE OF MAKING CIGA RETTES AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIO LATION THEREOF AND HEPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE WITH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF OREM CITY: Section 1. That Section 20 2-68 of Title 20 of the Revised Revis-ed Ordinances of Orem City, Orem, Utah, 1959, be amended to read as follows: Section 20-2-68. Any person who maintains in his place of business a tobacco vending vend-ing machine accessible to minors or provides any method met-hod of self-help for the disposition dis-position to minors by gift, 6ale of otherwise of any cigarette or cigarette paper or wrapper, or any paper made or prepared for the purpose of making cigarettes, cigaret-tes, or tobacco in any form whatsoever, is guilty of a misdemeanor. Section 2. If any part of this Ordinance shall be held Invalid In-valid such decision shall not affect the validity of the remainder rem-ainder of this ordinance. Section 3. All ordinances or parts, of ordinances in con flict with this Ordinance are bereby repealed. Section 4. Any person violating viola-ting any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction thereof be punished by a fine in the sum not to exceed $299.00 or by imprisonment im-prisonment for not more than 30 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Section 5. In the opinion of the City Council of Orem City, Utah, it is necessary for the preservation of the peace, welfare, health and saftey of the inhabitants of Orem City, that this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and publication. MIGLIACCIO 'ORCHESTRA Admission: Gentlemen, Kimball Lynn Collins Collins Twin Services Held Funeral - services were held Saturday in Orem for Kimball Lynn Collins, 10-month-old daughter of Larry ' Frampton and Margaret (Peggy) Faherty Collins of 327 W. 4th S., who died in her crib Fri. about noon at the family home. She apparently died of stran gulation. First aid efforts to revive her failed. The child was born March 30, 1960, in Prow. She is survived by her par ents, a twin sister Kris Ann; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frampton Collins and Mr. and Mrs. John Dennis, Orem: four greatgrandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Louis Roberts, Vernal; Mrs. Jennie Farley, Orem, and Mrs. Stella Collins, Salt Lake City. Johnson Rites were held Monday at noon in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel for William Grant Johnson, 66, 47 W. 750 N., Orem, who died Thursday at a Provo hospital after a two-year Illness. He was born Oct. 18, 189-1, in Mesa, Ariz., to Benjamin Franklin and Rozina Richmond Rich-mond Johnson.1- The family moved to Alberta, Canada when he was six, there he received re-ceived his early education. He moved to Provo at the age of 16 and completed 'his school Ing there. As a young man he worked as a truck operator He married Iona Irene Hansen Han-sen on Sept. 22, 1915, in Price. They made their home in Provo where he worked for 35 years as a switchman for Union Pacific Railroad. Upon his retirement two years ago, he moved to Orem. He was a member of .be LDS Church and the Brother hood of Railway Trainmen. His hobby was fishing. Surviving are his widow of Orem; three sons and one daughter, William Kent Johnson, John-son, Orem: Shirley J. Johnson, John-son, Salt Lake City; Kaye R. Johnson, Springville: Mrs. Joseph (Grace) Scheuer Van Nuys, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, iter.: Benjamin, George Miles, ters: Benjamin, George, Miles Everett and Lavone Johnson, all of Alberta, Canada; Justin Johnson, Provo; Gurn Johnson, Springville; Earl Johnson, San Jose, Calif.; Mrs. Lola Hubert, Odessa, Tex.; Mrs. Ethel Vance, Van-ce, Los Angeles; Mrs. Rhoda Southworth, Burbank, Calif. Thomas, 83, 208 N. 6th E. who died Saturday evening in Utah Valley Hospital of a heart attack. The services were in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel In Provo. Mr. Thomas was bore Nov. 3, 1877, in Provo to Robert H. and Sara Ellen Cluff Thomas. Thom-as. He married Pearl Daniels June 8, 1904, In the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Most of his life he lived in Provo, but since 1948 he was a resident of Orem. Mr. Thomas was an employe of Startup Candy Co. for 13 years and of Shupe Williams Candy Co. for 35 years. He a charter member of the United Unit-ed Commerical Traveler's ax Association and received a 50-year 50-year plaque and pin A High Priest and active in the LDS Church, Mr. Thomas Thom-as served as Sunday School superintendent; president of th 34th Quorum of Seventy; counselor in a bishopric; filled a mission to the Eastern States in 1890-91. He was educated in Provo City Schools and at the Brig- Tolton Baby Services Held x In Payson City Graveside services were held Friday morning In the Payson City Cemetery for oeraldine Tolton one-day-old daughter of Dennis and Nancy Egan Tolton of Orem. Surviving are her parents; grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Egan of Spring Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Tolton of Orem; great-grandmother, MYs. Lillian Stoker of Payson and Mrs. Loretta Tolton of Orem.
