At one time we had eighteen families wait ing for some of our heifers to nome In so they could get milk from us. We have our cows tested the report came back last week we wouldn't give our own children milk from cow3 that are not tested. We don't care if the whole State Board of Health Inspects our barn, In fact, we can't find anyone who will. We had a hard time finding where we could get the milk tested because we don't ship to the dairy. It makes more sense to me 'o tell us to wash our berries and cherries before we take them to the fruit stand. You don't know how clean the hands are of the person who licked that fruit, do you? I know you wouldn't sample the fruit in the fruit stand because be-cause that wouldn't be honest, Sut are you sure you wash it 'jefore your children taste It? Now maybe the dairy industry in-dustry with their hundreds of 'housands of customers are going to be hurt because we sell milk to a few people maybe they are going to tell us we have to pasturize. If they do, how are they going to stop Mr. Dairy Farmer from drink ing the raw milk from his bulk tank? We have customers whose Doctor has told them to find a good clean place where they could get raw milk. When I bad my back broken, my doctor doc-tor in Ogden didn't give me any calcium pills. He told me to drink all the raw milk I could. So all doctors are not blind to the fact that raw milk is good for us. Mrs. Merrill Blair 609 W. 1200 So. Going back over the statements state-ments that are properly public, President Eisenhower has admitted ad-mitted having a "personal preference pre-ference or even bias with respect re-spect to this upcoming Presidential Presi-dential race". Asked later if his "bias might favor Mr. Nixon, the President replied: "Was there any doubt in your mind?" The Chain Linti fence r ' , v n Continued Through March 31 st BUY NOW AND SAVE!! AC 5-2269 reporter's "No, sir," was drowned drow-ned out in laughter. In reply to a cautiously worded query on the possible injury to a candiate by "another "an-other powerful figure speaking out on the same issue but perhaps per-haps not in perfect coordination," coordina-tion," the President said: Now, so far as I know, there has never been between Mr. Nixon and myself, and that's who you are talking about . . .a specific difference in our points of view on any important impor-tant problem In seven years." Mr. Eisenhower went on to assure the newsmen that there had been give and take in their meetings without impor-j tant differences and he would not feel it necessary to check his words with the candidate before making a speech. So there it was.. The President Presi-dent had referred to the GOP candidate - presumptive by name at long last - even he didn't say (as once before:) "My boy!" Meanwhile, speculation on the Nixon running - mate, and whether his selection would be left to the Chicago convention conven-tion as indicated by the Vice President, continued to build up among the politicos. "One GOP figure whose name is mentioned with increasing frequency for the No. 2 spot," reported magazine HUMAN EVENTS, "is Senator Barry Goldwater of Arizona . . .One Washington observer, recently returned from a visit to Re publicans In many states across the land, reports that sentiment in favor of Gold- water is growing rapidly . . next to Nixon, no other Re publican has a greater acquaintanceship, ac-quaintanceship, and remains in more constant touch, than with Republican officals in the country." We might add that, there are also those who think Nixon will need a strong partner to win and that Goldwater, con siderably to the right of Nixon, can attract the lndpendent vote. Still others would put Goldwater first, leaving Nixon In the role he does so well. 44 3rrjl ,.32 mm to 4 2 n Mm. 1 1 J at iO W In A HURRY Uinta Finance Co. 1576 South State, Orem Phone AC 5-4898 At the Sign of the Friendly Indian ON mm Sponsored by Orem-Geneva Times and Orem Chamber of Commerce A CONTEST ABOUT OREM . . . .$24,0C OR MORE WEEKLY PRIZES!
