Show fogjeirs Pteta lei? wra fee toE3DD (Me Ufa Fo o by Thayle Anderson The Orem Tigers, after shelling shell-ing Lehi 20-0 last week, will fee going after their fifth consecutive con-secutive victory without defeat de-feat and their third region win of the season as they clash with the Carbon Dinosaurs here tomorrow afternoon. Kickoff time Is slated at 2:30 p.m. The tilt promises to be a real scrap between two fine teams. Coaoh Udell Westover has been drilling and priming his charges all week and from their action in their recent games, they certainly seem to be improving im-proving with age and experience. ex-perience. In the four games the Tigers have played, the defense has allowed a touchdown to be scored against them only twlce- once against Bingham, and one against Spanish Fork. Meanwhile Mean-while the Cats' explosive offense of-fense has errupted for a total of 03 points, and at least two touchdowns every game. So its a sure thing that if Orem can keep up this air-tight defense and dynamic offense, both of which will take constant improvement, im-provement, the Tigers will have a much better than even chance to cop the region crown. Carbon's record is not too Im pressive, their last game being a defeat at the hands of Pay. son. Last year Carbon was beaten by every team in Region Re-gion five until Orem titlebound frieght came along. The Dinos shocked the Tigers with a 20-7 victory and it was this loss it's here! come try the office typewriter in portable size! -- .... The Carbon game shapes up as the toughest opponent the Tigers Ti-gers have yet faced this season. that eventually became the killer kil-ler of the Cats' Region crown threat. So the Orem Tigers will be out for revenge this year and trying their hardest to get revenge and even the score. The probable starters in tomorrow's to-morrow's game will be Lonnie Hadlock at center, Eldon Loud er and Martin Dodge at right and left guards, Wayne Lunce-ford Lunce-ford and Myron Rawlinson at right and left tackles, Von McCandless and Paul Kennedy at left and right ends, Gary Shumway, calling the plays at quarterback, Lee Bunnell and David Thompson In the left and right halfback slots, and Glen Bullock at fullback. , Last week's game saw the Tigers chalk up their fourth vitory of the season as they rolled to an easy, 2O-0 victory over the Lehi Pioneers. The game which was plagued with rain saw the Orem reserves gain valuable valuable ex perience as they saw most of the action In the scrap and really showed their stuff in the lopsided passing. Glenn Clark. 25,000 Grid Fans Utah Football Clas There's only one thing cer tain in this Friday's Utah-BYU annual grid fest somebody's going to make a comeback. Even if the battle ends in a tie, it will be an Important for both clubs. Game time for the classic is 8 p.m. and a crowd of more than 25,000 is expected expect-ed to be on hand. Things are actually -looking up for the Utes despite a 0-2 record for the season and a 51-fi loss to Washington U. last Saturday. Larry Wilson and Dennis Zito, the Redskin's starting halfbacks, are reported as ready for duty. Coach Ray Nagel said Monday that both had responded to treatment and should be set to go full speed against the Brigs. Nagel feels that his club will be greatly improved with the return of the two regular halfbacks and explains it thus-ly, thus-ly, "We just don't have the offensive punch we need with Zito and Wilson out of there. Also it really hurts our defense. de-fense. When we have to move our second unit halfbacks up, then our platoon substituting really suffers. We aren't deep enough in the backf ield to contain con-tain a good ball club when any Expected for BYU- h Friday Night of our top backs are benched. We'll be a better club Friday night and should play our best game up to this point of the season." Concerning Saturday's de bacle Nagel said, "We were just beaten by a vastly superior ball club, but the score shouldn't have been as one sided as it was. We decided to . go for broke against the Huskies and felt the only way we could beat them, without Zito and Wilson was to gamble. Well, when you gamble, the roof can cave in and that's just what appened. We set our pe-game plans on the basis of throwing the ball and throwing it anywhere any-where on the field, in hopes of rattling the Washington club. But they intercepted 2 of our aerials for touchdowns and then the dam broke. And, sometimes when a ball club starts to roll, and the Washington Wash-ington club did, you just can't do anything about it" Waterfowl Hunters Start Bird Hunt Utah waterfowl hunters moved onto the state's marshes and waterways Wednesday for Get Your Membership Nov Brightsm Young University Theatre We proudly offer one of the greatest cultural bargains ever presented pre-sented in this country : Admission to all six BYU Theatre productions for just $5.00 (83c per event).
