OREM-GENEVA TIMES Thursday, July 12, 1958 REVERANDS MAKE VISIT TO PINEDALE, WTO. Rev. Verne A. Robinson of the Orem Community church, and Rev. Donald Mills from tne Provo Community church went to Pinedale, Wyo., last Sunday to attend the ordination of Mr. John Thornton, who has com pleted his theological training and will make the ministry his lifetime profession. Fast becoming one of the popular pop-ular sports in Orem is the new Map'e Lanes Bowling Alley, 155 West 4th North. Having been opened only a week, the new bowling alley is attracting a throng of bowlers each evening Equipped with 14 lanes, Maple Lanes was built by the Warbur ton brothers of Pleasant Grove, who also are the owners of the enterprise. The three brothers are Paul, Fon and Doyle. Man- ager of the bowling alley is j Norm Wharton, former resident of Pleasant Grove. The bowing alley also includes includ-es an attractice snack bar where refreshments will be served. The automatic pin setters in the alleys are among the latest type available in the nation. Several leagues have now been formed, which will provide for organized bowling. Also expected to be a big drawing card will be free bowling bowl-ing lessons for ladies and junior misses every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. The bowling alley will oper ate daily from 10 a.m. until 12 pjn. WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP SLATE MEETING The Women's Fellowship of the Community Church will hold their next meeting Tuesday, Tues-day, June 17 at the Parsonage st 8 p.m. Mrs. George Buck who is their newly elected president will be in charge. Mrs. Raloh Schenck and Mrs. Buck will be co-hostesses for the evening. TAKE FISHING TRIP TO FISH LAKE Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ford and family, Mr. and Mrs. Rube Pyne and family and Mrs. Curtis Gordon Gor-don and sons, went to Fish Lake last Friday for the opening of fishing season. They watched the removal of one of the bodies of a drowning victim while they were there. They returned home Monday night and reported a very successful fishing trip.
