The game was played as a climax to the Softball season. The winners were presented a lug of choice early peaches from the John Bown farm. Later La-ter the group dispersed and enjoyed en-joyed a watermelon feast a'.id mutual session at the church. THOMAS KITCHEN SPENDS 10 DAYS IN DDAHO Thomas L. Kitchen and his two grandsons, Derrel and Marvin Mar-vin just returned from 10 days trip to Nampa, Idaho. They visited vis-ited at the home of Arlo Kitchen Kitch-en son of Thomas Kitchen, and helped him build a barn. Arlo had the misfortune a week ago to have his barn burn down. Supervising the swim test is Berdean Jar- man, instructor, who watches Barbara Far-rer Far-rer Jimmy Fillis and Bruce Hutchinson go through their paces. Other swimming instructors in-structors are Leila Ogden and Stanford Stubbs. All winners were given a me tal by the Scera all players who lost in the finals were given the balls they played with. Most of the matches in all division were close and hard fought with most of them going three sets. More interest and better teams has been shown this year because of so much interest in-terest in the Scera tennis program. pro-gram. The Scera tennis team played in the Utah tennis league for the first time this year. There Seven from Salt Lake, one from Tooele, one From Ogden and 1 was ten teams in this league, from Orem. The Scera teams did a very fine job winning 7 of the 9 matches played. They lost to Vezinnis Heights of Salt Lake and Ogden in two very close matches. JUNIOR BOYS BASEBALL The Sharon Junior Boys Base ball team won the title in their Division for the second year rn a row. The Sharon crew ascend ed the throne without a play off as they won both halves of the schedule. The Sharon team is coached by Kelvin Clayton. JUNIOR MEN'S SOFTBALL The Orem Stake Champion ship was won by Vineyard and the Sharon Stake title was tak en by Provo 17th. These two teams will play for the Orem- Scera title.
