President Holdaway also con ducted the afternoon session of the conference. Elder young spoke on love and understanding towards to-wards those who may find it difficult to accept LDS beliefs. President M. Dover Hunt also spoke in the afternoon, as well as Garth Mangum and Darwin Veteto. The Orem First Ward choir sang for the session, conducted con-ducted by Mrs. Cyde E. Weeks, and featured a trio of Mrs. Max Spriggs, Mrs. Helen Kofford, and Mrs. Ross Holdaway. The evening session of the conference, con-ference, hid in the Geneva Ward chapel, was a Speech Festival conducted by the Stake MIA. The festival included several talks on the Beatitudes. Speakers included Nadine Harding, Vineyard Ward; T.enneth. Andrus, Beverly Ward' Dorothy Carter, Vermont Ward; Glenda Burr, Sharon Ward; Keith Beazer, Geneva Ward; Lila Lee Whetten, Orem First; Jan-ette Jan-ette Ogilvie, Geneva 2nd; and Sue Bridgett, Timp View Ward. Those present included Elders and their wives, members of the Senior Aaronic Priesthood and their wives, and members not holding the priesthood and their partners. An inspirational session included in-cluded a discussion period attended attend-ed by the men and a joint meeting with their partners where Elder Cifford E. Young spoke in addition ad-dition to several others. Pie a la mode was served at a social held following the meeting. Geneva 2nd Ward Primary Girls Hold "Snow Frolic" Girls of the Geneva Second Ward Primary enjoyed a "Snow Frolic" recently in the ward recreation rec-reation hall. The Home Builders leaders, Mrs. Gene Larsen, Mrs. LeRoy Mott and Mrs. Joseph Wyatt, were in charge of the successful suc-cessful affair. Snowmen and pine trees gave the hall an outdoor touch. "When You Look in the Heart of the Rose" will be the theme for the affair. The dress will be semi-formal and music will be furnished by Leo Vernon and his orchestra. Floorshow numbers will be by MIA Maids and Explorers Ex-plorers of the Vineyard, Windsor, Wind-sor, Timp View and Orem 1st Wards. Tasty refreshments will be sold.
