(lint I 1 Lincoln Junior High Wins Track Meet Lincoln junior high school athletes dominated the dual track and field meet held Wednesday Wed-nesday at Pleasant Grove, when to 25 5. In seventh grade events Clifford Clif-ford Ferguson won the 100 jard dash, Claude Rowley won the high jump and Pleasant Grove won the 440 relay. In 8th grade events Ronald Ferguson won the 50 yard and the high jump; while the locals won the relay. Ross and Reed Thomas, Jimmy Pyne and Neal Roberts comprised the relay team. In 9th grade events Ted Star-ley Star-ley won the high jump and tied with his team-mate Ray Gilli-gan Gilli-gan in the pole vault. Bill Porter Por-ter won the 100 yard dash, Ted Starley won the 880, Jimmy Boyce won the broad jump and Ted Starley won the shot put. Lincoln teams won both reyS for 9th graders. The locals also defeated American Am-erican Fork last week in a track and field meet. Parlell Peterson coaches the boys- Sharon Stake Study Group Meets President and Mrs. Henry D-Taylor D-Taylor entertained members of the Sharon stake presidency and high council in a study group. The lesson was under the direction dir-ection of Carlos Miller and was given by Rodney Kimball. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Philo T. Gleaners Present Sheaf Binding Janet Baum received her Golden Gol-den Gleaner pin on Sunday night when the Pleasant View ward Gleaners presented their Sheaf Binding ceremony. The pin was presented by Laura Perry. Earlene Foote, president of the class, welcomed those present. pres-ent. The invocation was offered by Betty Bone. Talks were giv-' en by Ann Trotter, Gladys Tip-petts Tip-petts and RaOla Hill. Musical numbers included a trio comprising com-prising Gladys Tippetts, Olga Allred and Janet Baum, accompanied accom-panied by Loye Allred; and a piano solo by Mary Eagar. Music during the binding of the .ieaf was by Ruth Colvin. A tribute to mothers was iv-en iv-en by Loye Allred, and the i,lrls presented yellow roses to their mothers. Mrs. Loreen Bliss presented pres-ented the Gleane scroll. The benediction was by Gladys Lee. Following the program Earlene Earl-ene Foote presented a gift to Laura Perry, Gleaner leader, on behalf of the class. Members of the class include Miss Foote, Joye Allred, Ann Trotter.
