All work to be done as a escribed es-cribed under sections (a) and (b) according to the plans profiles and specifications on file in the office of City Engineer and to defray the abutters portion of the cost and expense thereof by special assessment upon the lots and piece of ground to be affected or benefited by such improvement to be assessed according ac-cording to the front foot of the properties described above under und-er sections (a) and (b). That a tax will be levied on said par-1 eels of land at an equal and uni form rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon and to the entire depth of the same ownership back therefrom not exceeding 330 feet and the tax to be levied and assessd upon up-on said parcels of land to meet the cost of approximately $3.11 per front foot to be paid for ov. er a period of ten years. All protests or objection to such improvements or to the carrying out of such intention must be In writing, signed by the owners of the property af fected or benefited describing the same, together with the number of front feet and must be filed with the City Recorder on or before 5:00 o'clock on the 18 day of May, 1949.
