Participating in the Easter musical mu-sical treat will be the combined choruses of Lincoln high school. Slides depicting the life of christ will be shown on the screen during the presentation, according to Mr. Terry. M Men, Gleaners Plan Annual Banquet The M-Men and Gleaners of Orem stake will hold their annual ann-ual dinner dance on Friday evening, ev-ening, April 15 at 8 p.m. in the widnsor ward hall. Annuals Discussed At Meeting of Orem Garden Club "Annuals and Their Uses" was the subject discussed by Mrs- Clair York at the meeting of the Orem Garden Club held at the Orem City hall. The dis-cusison dis-cusison was illustrated with colored col-ored slides and movies. Mrs. Van Snow presided at the meeting-Mrs. Milda Patten spoke on the Gardeneer magazine. The door prize was presented to Mike Wadley. Mrs. Lola Fowlke, membership member-ship chairman, announced plans for the membership drive which is to be conducted during April. A choice bulb will be presented to each new member and each club member who brings a new member. A report on the membership drive will be given at the meet-ofthclubon meet-ofthclubon Thursday, April 28. The .meeting will be in the form of a bulb auction. A dahlia bulb will be given to each person per-son attending. Whit Watts is chairman of the auction and will act as auctioneer. Mrs. Knight Named Sharon PTA President Mrs. Ralph Knight was named president of the Sharon school Parent-Teachers association at an election meeting of the group last week. Mrs. Llovd Louder was named vice president and Mrs- JV. A. Snow was elected secretary. The new officers "succeed Mrs. Henry A. Campbell, president; Mrs- Snow, vice rjresident! and Mrs. C. Donald Clayton, secret ary. The nominating committee of the erouD included Mrs. C!lav Dunn, Mrs. Woodrow James and Mrs. Clyde Olsen. M. Vernon. Mark Hurst has taken a job selling life insurance with a former employer. He has been employed by Cloverleaf Dairy in Orem for the past year. Mrs. Delia Mecham was hostess to members of the Social club at the home of Mrs. Ethel Pyne on Friday. Visiting was enjoyed and refreshments served serv-ed to Ruth Jolley, Zina Selman, Jennie Thorne, Sarah Prest-wich, Prest-wich, Verena Holt, Pearl Jep-person, Jep-person, Fern Laudie, Veda Kofford, Mrs. Pyne and the hostess. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of an incubator for the Orem health office. A variety of card games will be played during the evening and luncheon will be served-A served-A cake auction and the awarding award-ing of door prizes will be features feat-ures of the entertainment. Mem bers of all civic clubs are urged to participate and support this project which will benefit the en tire community. The Incubator will be exhibited at the party. Gwen Bench heads the refreshment re-freshment committee and Bar bara Broadhad is chairman of the entertainment committee. Reservations may b'e made by calling Mrs. Broadhad at 0860-J3 0860-J3 or Betty Gillman at 0759-R1. Madsen Newlyweds Honored at Wedding Reception Dr. and Mrs. Carlos N. Madsen Mad-sen were complimented at a wedding reception in the kake View ward hall. They were Married on March 21 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The bride is the former Margaret Mar-garet Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee F. Young of Alma, Georgia. Dr. Madsen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Madsen. Reception guests were received receiv-ed in the alcove of the hall by the bride and groom, their parents, par-ents, Kenneth R. Madsen, best man, brother of the groom; Mrs. Aaron Bus Williams, matron of honor and Eleanore Jorgensen, maid of honor. The receiving line stood before the fireplace-White fireplace-White pillars held lovely bou quets of calla lilies. The charming bride wore a gown of heavy ivory slipper satin, fashioned with a bustle effect and a full length train and trimmed with dutch lace. A veil of bride's illusion fell from a crown of quilted satin and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of orchids, tied with satin streamers. Little John K. Williams and Margaret Frances Madsen were the flower bearers. Diane and Marilyn Sabey carried the bride's train. .Weldon Taylor acted as mast er of ceremonies during the pro gram. Gifts were received at the door by Patsy Williams and Eric Madsen and were arranged arrang-ed by Mrs. Alice Bushman and Mrs. Earl Sabey, Mr. and Mrs. Arch Madsen were in charge of the guest book. Assisting at the Irefrefchment table were Doris Gwilliam, Shirlee Christensen, Aedle Ramsbottam and Mary Moore. Dr. and Mrs. Madsen left following fol-lowing the reception for a short honeymoon. They are making their home in Provo. 20-30 Annes Hold Planning Session Dorothy Buckley entertained the 20-30 Annes at a buisness meeting at her home on Thursday Thurs-day evening. Plans, of the group were discussed during the ev. ening. Sewing and social chat were enjoyed following the business discussion. A tasty luncheon was served to Bonnie Blaylock, June Kendall, Norma Muir, Waldene Olsen, Zoe Louder, Meridith Stratton and the host ess- Mr- and Mrs. Lamar Burnett Bur-nett are the proud parents of a new son born last week. Mr. Barnett is the art teachef at Lincoln high school. COUPLE WED AT MANTI TEMPLE Mr. and Mrs- Winslow Weber were honored on Saturday evening even-ing at a wedding reception in the Pleasant View ward hall-They hall-They were married on April 1 in the Manti Temple. The bride is the former Melba Liechty, daughter, of E. A Liechty and Mr. Weber is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Weber of Freedom, Wyoming. The bride was attended by her sister, Elaine Liechty, the groom's sister, Joan Weber, Alice Al-ice Maloney, Grace L. Draper and Donna Woodard. Merrill Weber acted as best man for his brother. George Muhlestein was mast er of ceremonies during the pro gram at the reception. Mrs-George Mrs-George Muhestein gave a reading read-ing and Mrs. Celestia Taylor gave a toast to the . bride and groom. Mrs. Crowther arranged the gifts. A luncheon was given follow. ing the wedding ceremony in Manti by aunts of the bride. The newlyweds left on Sunday for a honeymoon in California. The bride will finish the school year in Fillmore where she has been teaching. They will make their home in Wyoming.
