"Yacht" was the diversion following dinner, prizes going to Mrs. Boyce, Mr. Slaton and Mr. Baum. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Greeson of Salt Lake City spent the weekend week-end here with Mrs. Flora H. Plans for the annual Gold and Green ball ai'e being completed by the MIA officers. The lovely affair will be held Thursday evening, eve-ning, March 4, in the ward recreation recre-ation hall and all members of the ward are invited to attend. The queen and her attendants will be announced later. Mrs. Fred Kemper of Olmsted will be hostess to Edgemon.e, literary lit-erary club Friday afternoon at her home in their annual birthday birth-day party. Pictures will be taken and recordings made. All i..em-bers i..em-bers are invited to be present. Classleader Alice Elliott will conduct the' Theology lesson at Relief Society Thesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. All ladies of the ward are urged to be present. UN POLICE FORCE URGED BY SENATORS WATKINS & THOMAS Utah's two senators, Arthur V. Watkins of Orem and Elbert D. Thomas, this week called on the United Nations to "make good" its decision calling for partition of Palestine by mobilizing an international in-ternational armed force to enforce en-force the partition. Both Senator Watkins . and Senator Thomas emphasized that the primary issue at stake is not the establishment of a Jewish slate, but the integrity of the U.N. "U.N. must either enforce its decisions or it might as well abolish itself and stop .making decisions," Watkins said. "The United States, as well as other U.N. members, should contribute con-tribute a fair quota of troops for a U.N. force. We signed the U.N. Charter, supported almost unanimously un-animously by . the American people. We subscribed to its provisions pro-visions for an . international armed force to keep order in the world and give meaning to U.N. decisions. Donelta Baker has returned re-turned home after spending two weeks in Idaho Falls and Paris Idaho. She attended her brother's broth-er's silver wedding anniversary celebration and visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lewis, both of whom were quite ill during her visit.
