Cards and other table games were played and prizes awarded Lunch was served to Mrs. Mina Adams, Mrs. Dorothy Jacobsen Mrs. Gladys Madsen, Mrs. Nellie Groo, Mrs. Ada Crossman, Mrs. Melinda Jorgensen, Mrs. Verda Madsen, Mrs- Blanche Taylor, Mrs. Nell NuttalJ and hostess- Young Couple Wed In Ely, Nevada Mr. and Mrs. Percy Adams announce the marriage of their daughter, Lois and George La-Von La-Von Gee, son of Mrs. Ruth Gee. The parents of the young couple accompanied them to Eely, Nevada Ne-vada where they were married-Lois married-Lois is a former student at the Lincoln High School. Her hus band served in the U. S. Army during the war. They plan to make their home in Provo. The bride was complimented at a shower given by Sharee Weeks. She received lovely gifts from family members and friends. The guests enjoyed a program and dainty refreshments. Neidham-er Neidham-er Monday, October 20 in Dallas, Dal-las, Texas. She is the daughter of A. V. Washburn and the late Grace B. Washburn. The bride is a graduate of the Lincoln high school and Sharon seminary. She ha3 been attending attend-ing an art school in Los Angel es for the pasf two years. Mr. weidnamer is a .Los Angeles business man and is well known in sports circles, beinjr an ac complished tennis player. .The couple plan to make their home in Los Angeles after a honeymoon in the south- j western states. Legion Auxiliary Presidents Honored At Breakfast Mrs. Ethel Conover, Mrs. Grace Hansen and Mrs. Dorothy liroadnead attended the Past Presidents Breakfast given by the American Legion Auxiliary in the Memorial building in American Am-erican Fork. The breakfast is given to honor those who have served as president of their organization. org-anization. Mrs. Broadhead is president of the Orem Auxiliary this year. Mrs- Conover and Mrs. Hansen have served as president in the past. Mrs- Lela Banks, membership chairman for district four asked for a report on the membership drives recently conducted. If a worker dies "fully insur ed" under this part of the Social Security Act, monthly insurance payments will go to: His children until they are 18 years old. His widow, if she has such a young child in her care. j His widow, if she is 63 or old er, or wnen she reaches 65- If a worker leaves no widow or child his parents may qualify for monthly insurance payments at ge 65, but only if they were dependent on him- Lump sum death payments are made where there is no one elig ible to claim a monthly insur ance payment- A worker is "fully insured" of he has worked and been paid at least $50 a . quarter (under social security) for one-half the quarters after January 1, 1937, or after age 21, and before the quarter of death. A wage earner who has work ed and been paid at least $50 a quarter for 6 out of the last 13 quarters of his life may be "currently insured" if he is not "fully insured." In this case, monthly insurance payments will be made to a young child, or to a widow with such a child in her care or a lump sum payment pay-ment may be made. Hex Guffiths of the Grand View Ward bishopric suffered a painful accident when he was thrown from a horse while pre paring lor a deer hunt. He sus-tined sus-tined a cracked scarum bone together to-gether with bruises, however he is reported to be doing as well as can be expected- The "S.L." club has been postponed post-poned for one week because of the deer hunt.
