A member of the Orem City Council for the past eight years, he is now serving as chairman of the Water and Sewer Sew-er departments. During his previous pre-vious term he was commissioner of parks and cemetery. He was educated in Orem public schools and attended the BYU and the University of Utah. He has eight children, five of whom have families and reside in Orem. Business to be self -regulated, with city regulation ordinances only exercised upon the expressed will of the people. Education Orem needs more schools and improvements in present buildings. The problem demands cooperation with the board of education for proper location of new buildings. The party supports the plan to put the Orem public pub-lic library on a permanent basis and to bring it up to suitable standards of size and service. Taxation It is difficult for a growing community to reduce taxes, but the Citizens party pledges itself to try. EDWARDS For Councilman, 4-Year Term Mr. Edwards, a prominent fruit grower and buyer, is a long-time resident of Orem. Ha has been active in L. D. S. Church activities, having been bishop of Timpanogos ward. Sunday School superinterdent and president of the Seventy' quorum. At present he is a counselor in the Sharon stake presidency. He is well qualified in every respect to be elected to office. V" t ; EPHRAIM TWITCHELL For Councilman 2-Year Term Mj. Twitchell, incumbent city councilman, has proved his worth during his persenl term of office. He now heads the city parks and cemetery committee. A former bishop of Sharon ward, Mr. Twitchell understands the problems of a growing Orem citizenry. cit-izenry. He is a progressive Orem fruit grower and is at present an employee of the Utah Oil Refining Refin-ing Company. Orem citizens should vote for this man who their interests at heart. J. ELDON SWENSON For Councilman, 2-Year Term Mr. Swenson, a man of high regard in Orem, has been nominated nomin-ated to the office of city councilman. council-man. A member of the Big Bench Canal board, and a dairy farmer for the past 20 years, Mr. Swenson is well qualified for this office.
