The scouts now organized w. n Franklin Stratton, scout master, will start off with an overnight swimming trip on May 24 and will participate in the Carnporee to be held at Payson Canyon Scout camp, May 31 and June 1. In June the scouts will have a mother and sons party and a father and sons overnight trip. VERMONT WARD Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bradshaw had the pleasure of talking over the phone with their son T. Sgt. Willard Bradshaw from Luzern, Switzerland during the week. He was on a ten day furlough from Elegrean, Germany, where he is stationed. He reported he is well and hopes to be home soon. Mrs. Bradshaw said the call came through as well as a local call and her son's voice was very distinct. Mrs. B. M. Jolley has returned return-ed from the Salt Lake hospital to her home and is Improving nicely- She underwent a major operation three weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Egan, Mrs. Clara Sidwell and Mrs. Mariam Bradshaw attended the stake temple excursion to Salt Lake City Tuesday. Edards of Timpanogos. ward conducted funeral services at the Wallace Mortuary in Price Wednesday for Joseph Hinkinn, 61, retired miner, who died Sunday at the home of his sister, Mrs- Sam Dexter.
