The Park City Council recently voted to authorize staffers to purchase pur-chase a replacement trolley. The one that now drives up and down Main Street dates from 1996. The new trolley costs $259,988. The city will pay $51,997 and the federal government will pay the rest. Eric Nesset, the city's transportation manager, man-ager, said the city may keep the trolley it now owns as a spare. He expects the new trolley to arrive in mid-summer. The new trolley will run on clean diesel fuel. GRAYSON WESTPARK RECORD POLICE Police received several reports of thefts in Main Street stores over the weekend and the suspects made off with coats and jewelry. At 7:31 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, a boutique on the 600 block of. Main Street reported two coats were stolen. Their value was more than $200, police said. A few hours earlier, at 1:57 p.m., two women suspected of shoplifting stole a ring from a store on the same block of Main Street. An officer was unable to locate a suspect in the ring theft. Other incidents reported to the Police Department last week included: includ-ed: On Sunday, Nov. 23 at 8:51 p.m., a person complained to police that a dog had bitten them. Pictures were taken of the injury and the case was referred to Summit County Animal Control. At 9:17 a.m., credit cards were reported stolen from a person on the 400 block of Main Street. A person on the 300 block of Main Street reported at 1:47 p.m. that eggs were thrown at a business. He was arrested for assaulting a peace officer, offi-cer, interfering or resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and intoxication. On Saturday, Nov. 22 at 11:40 a.m., a traffic accident involving minor injuries was reported on the 1400 block of Empire Avenue. One vehicle was towed, police said. On Friday, Nov. 21 at 6:44 p.m., a person on the 1700 block of Park Avenue reported to police that a customer had given them a counterfeit counter-feit $100 bill. When an officer investigated, inves-tigated, it was found that the bill was authentic. On Thursday. Nov. 20 at 6:57 p.m., a person on the 1700 block of Sidewinder Drive reported that their vehicle had been rear-ended by another. The woman whose vehicle reportedly struck the car fled when he told her that he was going to call police. The case is a hit-and-run accident, police said. At 11:09 a.m., a computer and a television were reported stolen from a condominium on the 1000 blcKk of Park Avenue. At 1:12 p.m., a person left a gas station on the 1600 block of Bonanza Drive without paying a $18.62 gasoline tab. . Police received a complaint at 1:19 p.m. that a wallet was lost on the 1800 block of Park Avenue. Police were told that the credit card was used since it was lost. At 3:55 a.m., police arrested a man for public intoxication after receiving a trespassing complaint from the 2200 block of Sidewinder Drive. Cops bust Continued from A-5 McCombsaid. On Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 11:47 p.m., a person alleged a roommate assaulted him on the 1400 block of Park Avenue. Police arrested one person for public intoxication. On Monday, Nov. 17 at 11:36 p.m., a man was allegedly caught shoplifting on the 1800 block of Park Avenue. He was taken to jail.
