A mountain bike was reported swiped from the 400 block of Main Street at 1:15 a.m. Police say that the bike was chained to a bench that was not secured to the ground. Thus, the bandit only had to lift the bench up and take the bicycle. The person just couldn't resist. Police say a credit card was left on a bar at a Main Street nightclub night-club at about 7:42 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5 and a person helped himself to the card. When police arrived, the credit-card bandit returned the stolen card. A hit-and-run traffic accident on upper Daly Avenue was called into police at 11:45 a.m. Someone just couldn't make it home from Main Street early Wednesday morning. Police report that a person was reported sleeping in a closet on the 400 block of Main Street at 12:03 a.m. by crooks Police said the person was intoxicated. intoxi-cated. In the wee hours of Tuesday, Aug. 4 a person reported a snooping red pickup truck on Iron Mountain Drive. Police report that the truck was in a driveway at 3:17 a.m., but when a resident . shined a flashlight toward the truck, it drove away. Police said the truck was gone when they arrived. At 12:30 p.m. on Mountain Lane belongings were missing from a rental unit. Police report that $1,900 worth of items was taken and the crime did not involve a forced entry. A traffic accident on Bonanza Drive was called in at 12:31 p.m. Police report that no one was injured, but one of the drivers was cited for driving without a license. On Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 2:12 p.m. a purse was stolen while a woman was at Deer Valley-area party. The purse contained iden- tifiratinn and credit cards Murray police arrested a suspect in the case. At 3:59 p.m., a bicycle and golf clubs were reported stolen from the 500 block of Park Avenue. On Monday, Aug. 3 a Main Street business fell victim to a thief. Police report that overnight, computers, scanners, printers and a wedding ring were taken from a locked business. The value of the! items is estimated estimat-ed at $9,000. , A criminal hit a Main Street restaurant Monday morning. At 8:38 a.m. the restaurant reported $2,700 in cash, checks and credit-card credit-card receipts stolen. Police say the restaurant has reported similar simi-lar incidents in the recent past. At 11:12 a.m. a person reported report-ed that six computers were taken from a Park City business. At 2:21 p.m. a 17-year-old was treated for a bite wound. Police report that the victim's father bit him.
