At the Resort 649-7778 Underground parking. Jill Snyder just couldn't miss. Snyder, a right winger for the Park City Silver Kicks, scored three goals and had two others called back (because of offside violations by her teammates) team-mates) to lead the women's soccer team to a convincing 5-0 win over KWHO here Saturday. After a sluggish first half, the second-ranked Silver Kicks exploded for four quick goals, including three by Snyder, to knock KWHO out of the playoffs for the championship of the second division. The win moved the Silver Kicks into the championship game, to be played against Pan World B at noon Saturday Satur-day at Riverside Park in Salt Lake City. Other goals in last Saturday's Satur-day's victory over KWHO came from Cheryl Johnson and Sarah Odell. Johnson's goal was the only encouraging en-couraging sign in an otherwise other-wise lackluster first half. "It looked like everyone was asleep, even the referees," Park City goalie Kathy Benner said later. After the teams had changed ends, Snyder opened the floodgates with two quick goals from the right side. In each case she skirted the opposing fullback and beat the KWHO goalie with a rising shot into the opposite corner of the net. Her third goal came after a scramble in front of the KWHO goal, with the ball barely rolling into the net beyond the outstretched arms of the goalie. With the outcome of the game no longer in doubt, Park City coach Dick Barlow shuffled the lineup, putting fullback Bernadette Ott in goal and bringing Benner and fullback Sarah Odell up to the forward line. fcl wm minimum, im.i.iii. i mil rnrnnMWl I ril.ll n I II. The league championship game will find the Silver Kicks, who finished second in the regular season, facing Pan World B, who finished fourth. On paper, Park City might be considered the favorite, but Pan World has made a strong showing this spring, bolstered by several members of a youth soccer team known as the Orange Crush. On May 8, Pan World shut out Park City 2-0. Pan World has also sailed through the playoffs, first knocking off the University of Utah, then trouncing the league-leading Alemannia B team by an astounding 12-0 score last Saturday. "They're young, they're fast and they're aggressive," Snyder said. "It's going to be a hard game Saturday, but we're getting psyched." In preparation for Saturday's Satur-day's showdown, the Silver Kicks will scrimmage tonight against another voung team, the C53s, Park City's under-16 girls' team.
