Shortly after classes ended for the last time on Dec. 19, Newspaper photographer David Hampshire Ham-pshire wandered through the empty halls with his camera. At top right, School Superintendent Richard Goodworth, framed by two huge trucks, is pictured helping to load some of the contents for the trip to the new school. In the photograph above, the empty schoolyard tells a story of its own, while the teacher's lounge (left) suggests that some packing and cleaning remains to be done. On Dec. 29, photographer Phyllis Rubenstein traveled to the new Parley's Park Elementary School to take the photos printed below, showing the new classrooms already decorated.
