Arts Grant Continued From Page 1 "The arts council was formed to organize community com-munity arts development," said Ms. Smith. "The establishment of the council allows us to apply for state and federal funding to encourage en-courage arts on a continuing basis." The Park City Arts Council Coun-cil is co-sponsoring this year's Park City Arts Festival with the Kimball Art Center. The first project to be funded by the $1,500 grant will be sponsorship of a poetryprinting workshop to be conducted in September or October." "This project was one of the chief priorities established at a recent town meeting on the arts," Ms. Smith said. "The project will entail bringing in a poet (perhaps Sam Hamill, David Lee or Bill Ramson) to conduct a two-day poetry writing workshop. One poem will be selected by the workshop participants and will be typeset and printed by the group the following two days, utilizing a platen letterpress in Francis, Utah. A public poetry reading will be held at the Kimball Art Center following the workshop. The funds are for an honorarium for the poet, travel expenses, and supplies. Room and board and press rental will be furnished fur-nished in-kind by the publisher of the Silver Vain." "We are thrilled about this workshop and look forward for-ward to it as the Arts Council's Coun-cil's first project," Ms. Smith said. Chambers Promoted George L. Ball, President of E.F.
