Cober Commercial Complex Approved The Park City Planning Commission granted conditional con-ditional use approval January 24 for the construction construc-tion of Park Meadows Plaza, a commercial office complex to be located at the intersection of Monitor Drive and U-248, near the Holiday Village apartments, f. Plans call for a 4,500-square-foot restaurant two stores high made of cedar and using bronze solar windows win-dows and a sun roof. The restaurant will be to the west end of the complex and will hold 200 diners! . Eight separate buildings connected by covered walkways will house 41,200 quare-feet of office space and underground parking and will be of the same construction con-struction material as the restaurant. - Holiday Village apartment apart-ment owner Frank Richards voiced an objection to any above grade parking structures, commenting that it would have an adverse affect af-fect on residents adjacent to it. Project partner and developer Jack Johnson assured that the eight feet of parking structure above ground would be concealed with burming and planters on the northwest side. He added that the entire project will have fir, spruce, pine and aspen trees larger than requested by the city's planning director. In comparison to the 15.700-square-foot Park Meadows Plaza project, the Mt. Air Mall on Park Avenue contains 16,000 square feet of space. Noise Precautions The Club on Main Street received conditional use approval ap-proval at the January 24th Planning Commission meeting following discussion by adjacent property owners on a potential poten-tial noise problem. Howard Anderson, owner of the Anderson Apartments, told the commission he was concerned his nightly and monthly rental business might be adversely allected by noise seeping through the walls from the private club. He asked that the problem be resolved by either soundproofing sound-proofing or insulating the common north wall, or through stricter enforcement enfor-cement of the Park City noise ordinance-, ; -which specifies a maximum decibal level. Anderson was concerned mostly about loud music played by live entertainers, although owner Joe Buehler said there are no plans for live music. In answer to the potential problem. City Building Inspector In-spector Bob Skanter is requiring Buehler to provide a two-hour fire separation between both the north and south common walls. The south wall is adjacent to the Alamo Bar. Annex To Road Service District At a special public meeting held at the Park City High School Tuesday night the Summit County commissioners passed a resolution to annex Snyder-ville Snyder-ville area subdivisions into a single road maintenance district. About twenty local residents attended the meeting to air their views on the annexation proposal. The service area, called service district No. 6, currently includes Pine Brooks Estates. The county commissioners plan to extend ex-tend the service district to include Summit Park, Park West and Park West Village and any future subdivisions, such as the planned Bitner Estates. Residents in these areas will have a mill levy increase of 1 to 7 mills to pay for the county road service, ser-vice, which entails mostly snow removal. p of the residents attending at-tending the meeting objected object-ed to an increase in their mill levy for snow removal service which they are already receiving. County Planner Stan Strebble pointed point-ed out that the cost for snow removal in Summit Park alone was $25,000 last year. Residents in Summit Park paid only $9,000 in taxes toward county road maintenance during the same period. Strebble said the rest of the snow removal cost for Summit Park was subsidized by towns like Park City, which pay full county taxes but do not receive county snow removal service since they have city service. ,..,. The annexation proposal will go into effect in 30 days unless subdivision residents submit petitions of protest signed by 25 percent of the voter population. gssmsssBssssm mm fry Iffilffi Sirloin Steaks Alaskan King Crab Rack of Lamb London Broil Australian Lobster Tails Ladies Nite Is Tuesday With this ad...
