Show Wednesday, November 29, 1978 Page 9 County Sets Dec. 5 Master Plan Meeting The Summit County Plan ning Commission will hold a special public meeting to consider changes to the County Master Plan on Tuesday, December 5, 1978 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the County Courthouse Court-house in Coalville. All interested in-terested persons are invited to attend. Five requests for change have been received by the Planning Commission. Three involve properties in the vicinity of Park City, one request is for property located up Tollgate Canyon, west of Wanship, and the final request is for property located on the upper Weber River near Holiday Park. The Planning Commission considers requests for amendment of the Master Plan three times per year in public meetings held in April, August, and December. Decem-ber. The Planning Commission Com-mission cannot recommend approval of development projects which are not in harmony with the County Master Plan. Therefore, when a project which is outside out-side the scope of the current Master Plan is presented, the Commission considers amending the plan itself. It should be pointed out that the Master Plan does not have the force of zoning, which is controlled by the County Commission. The Master Plan is merely to aid the Planning Commission in making recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners. Com-missioners. It is proposed that the Master Plan be amended for approximately ap-proximately 1 acre; changing the designation from forest-range land to light industrial. Rental storage sheds are proposed as a use. The parcel is in the NW 14, SW 14, Section 2, Township 2 South, Range 4 East, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. State Chairman Wendell E. Gile and 7978 TSIA Campaign Cam-paign Chairman James B. Chaney jointly announced that October E-H Bond sales for the state amounted to $2,321,267 which brings the year-to-date sales to $23,915,443 or 67 percent of the 1978 goal of $35,600,000. Four counties have exceeded ex-ceeded their quotas. Sixteen Counties are above the State's- average of 67 percent. per-cent. Sevier County, M.B. Nielson Volunteer Chairman, Chair-man, leads all other counties with 210 percent of his quota attained. Nationally, in October alone, American savers put more money into Series E Bonds'($601 million) than in any October since 1943. October Oc-tober sales of E-H Bonds together were $620 million, or $8 million above 1977 sales for the same period. With th approach of the holiday season.
