There will be guided walking tours including visits to the historic Union Pacific Depot, the dungeon beneath City Hall, the oldest Catholic Church in the State of Utah, restored Victorian buildings and much more. The Silver Wheel Theatre will present a special matinee performance performan-ce Of "NO Hope F"r rharitv" at a bargain price. There will be slide presentations, programs about early mining, rides on a horse drawn hay wagon and Preservation Day Specials at many local restaurants and saloons. Tour tickets are $3, tickets to the Melodrama are $2. Tickets may be purchased at the Kimball Art Center on Preservation Day (starting at 10 a.m. ) or, in advance, at the Utah Heritage Foundation Foun-dation Booth in Trolley Square from Noon until 2 p.m. or the Park City Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce, P.O. ' ; m Park City residents Cindy Tieman and Chris Nelson were wed on Saturday, April 22 in Valparaiso, Indiana. The couple, both of whom graduated from high school in Indiana, were scheduled to return to Park City on May 1. Chris works locally as a roofing contractor and Steve Rezendes, also of Park City, was one of the at tendants in the ceremony held at Trinity Lutheran Church. ill jtfk Police Report Burglary And Vandalism Cases of burglary and vandalism were reported this week by the Park City Police Department. Vandals entered train cars belonging to the Depot Project on lower Pacific Avenue between April 15 and April 28, leaving car interiors,,, in-teriors,,, in. genera,l , disorder breaking mirrors, toilets and sinks. Damage has been set at between $6,000 and $8,000. Police suspect the vandalism van-dalism was caused by a person per-son distressed over the nature of the Depot Project plans. The Design Coalition gift shop, located at the Resort center, was burglarized betwen April 28 and May 2. Reported missing was a quilt, valued at $260, five blankets, valued at $360, and two afghans, valued at $80. Design Coalition secretary Sandy Erickson was called to the store, which has been closed for( several weeks, , to show; f he missing 'quilf 'to a potential customer on Friday morning, April 28. Although interest was shown, the item was not purchased pur-chased and police consider the customer a suspect. Entry to the shop was made by jimmying the front door. No store damage was reported.
