Show Set For KACOct. 20 1 ''rrA:r Guild members Kathy Mosely, Pat Van Wagoner and Toni Doilney model some of the clothes to be shown Oct. 20. The October 20 meeting of the Kimball Art Guild will feature the Utah Weaver's Guild Fashion Show. Co-Chairpersons Becky Juhlin and Kathy Mosely, owners of The Intertwine shop in Trolley Square, co-chairperson co-chairperson Christie Barker of the Weaver's Guild and Kimball Art Guild Program Director Pat Van Wagoner have put together an afternoon after-noon of artful entertainment which will feature 35 hand-woven hand-woven clothing entries modeled by 20 dancers trom the East High Dance Club, accompanied by a jazz musician. Clothing to be modeled will include tabbards, jackets, capes, tunic tops, a wedding dress, various pieces of both casual and formal attire as well as men's and children's items. A bazaar table will feature pillows, purses and smaller hand-spun articles. "This is a great opportunity oppor-tunity for early Christmas shopping," says Program Chairperson Van Wagoner. "Mirrors will be available for those wishing to try on items," she added. The Utah Weaver's Guild is comprised of approximately ap-proximately 75 weavers from throughout, the state. It is a non-profit service organization whose aim is to teach the public about weaving. They perform three demonstrations a week at the Pioneer Trails, the original location of Brigham Young's home at the mouth of Emigration Canyon. "All clothing made by guild members is made on either a floor loom, a table loom, a frame loom or a backstrap loom. It is finished by hand with no' machine stitching allowed to show," explained Intertwine owner Becky Juhlin. "We have fairly stringent guidelines." There will be a $2 admission ad-mission fee for the October 20 fashion show and tea which will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the art center. The public is cordially invited.
