His trophy case loaded with ribbons and medals, Penz turned professional in 1972-73 in search of new racing challenges, and of course, money. Penz's temperment, not his skill, has been the only factor limiting his development as a pro. He is a brooder, a' tight, tense athlete who thinks too much. After morning elimination he often rushes to the timing house; there he analytically studies his fc opponents op-ponents runs while dragging on pungent French cigarettes. If he does qualify, he worries throughout) his afternoon runs; when he doesn't ' r quality, JJ he languishes. Penz may be a far more relaxed and confident man this season, though. He's married how (to former French ski ace Florence Steurer) and experience has bolstered his confidence.. In addition, rest and time abated the back problem. Penz has no excuse in '76. Z. Kastler, Company president. The Company was able to utilize investment tax credits which increased earnings by .21 cents per share and accounted ac-counted for approximately 42 per cent of the 1975 gain in earnings. ! Earnings also increased. due to im-' provement in both utility and ' nonutility operations. Revenues from the sale of, natural gas and natural gas liquids in 1975 were $112,419,576, compared with $82,782,543 in 1974, while utility operating expenses increased from $71,355,360 in 1974 to $97,876,497 in 1975. Over 94 per cent of the in-crease in-crease in utility operating expenses is due to higher costs of natural gas purchased pur-chased by the Company from others for distribution in its service area. .
